Really need to improve service and interaction with Guests
I would have thought that you would already would know this rather than ask me. This was a charming old fashioned hotel with a nice garden located near the Blue Mosque. But it is now out of business, closed, kaput, over. The new owners will doubtless tart it up and triple the prices. One more loss for civilization.
The fact that it was going out of business at the end of September!
Staff were not well versed in providing assistance
Cleanliness, location, quietness, personnel thoughtfulness
shutter, blinds or thicker curtains could stop light and heat penetrating into rooms with many windows.
beautiful courtyard for leisurely breakfasts
bathtub drain was a little slow
The beauty of the whole place. Its quiet, its garden, the staff: all were wonderful.
During RAmadan, no wine with dinner. They should be up front about such a practice.
A wonderful location right in the heart of this vibrant city. Beautiful quiet garden for breakfast
Be prepared for the call to 5am prayers from two mosques at the same time
The garden The desk staff and the housemaid
room size 14m2 room cleanliness no room for suitcases no desk no tv in english anywhere in hotel no lift bathroom so small that one had to sit sideways on toilet shower recess inadequate and scummed at juncture of screen and base of shower This hotel is really not in the 3 star international category.
Great Location! Beautiful Garden. Front Office Staff! Umbrellas to borrow! We found rooms a little too small and being an old building some maintenance is in need but we were VERY satisfied.
The location - magnificent. The garden - a haven of peace in a busy city. The style of the hotel and bedrooms were very agreeable. The staff were extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful.
The food was somewhat repetitive. The WiFi was poor.
I couldn't access the WI-FI in the room or in the lobby
The location, the friendly staff and the atmosphere. My favourite spot in the City.
I think the menu on the terrace could be a little bit more extensive.
Gorgeous garden and unbeatable location for touring
location and closeness to major sites staff were helpful and friendly
A good and central location in the Old City. Like a private house with good facilities. Friendly staff and elegant rooms.
A problem with all minarets close to hotel with extreme loud voices day and night.
Excellent service in this superb small hotel in a unique setting. Also has a fantastic local restaurant in its quiet courtyard near the Blue Mosque. Lovely rooms and very diligent service.
Location proximal to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia, museums, the markets, restaurants, cafes, and in particular the friendly service provided by all staff, who were prepared to answer all questions at any time day or night, book tours, guides, restaurants and taxis.
The small bathroom in our room.
Having spent 20 years traveling over 9 million miles as airline crew, I have spent a large part of my life in hotels. This hotel truly stands out as one of the best hotels in the world and the reason it does so is because of its amazing staff who are brilliant hosts with a genuine desire to ensure their customers enjoy their stay at the Yesil Ev. This is a hotel that you will leave with the strongest desire to return again and again.
Great location. Excellent courteous staff.

The call to prayers at 0530 hrs
This is a quirky and most unusual hotel. It's at the heart of Istanbul's historic and ancient district, Sultanahmet. Don't stay here if you are looking for a typical luxury hotel, it is very different to the chain hotels. Yesil Ev is a wooden nineteenth century building which sits between the Blue Mosque and the Aya Sofia and is within a short walk from the Topkapi Palace. Rooms are furnished with odd old furniture, parquet floors with old rugs. But it's comfortable and delightful and the first hotel I've stayed in for a long time which has no TV in the rooms. Wonderful and buckets of atmosphere.
Not much. Bed was a little hard, bathroom a bit small, otherwise that's it.
