Grafton Beach Resort  

The hotel was better than I expected after reading other reviews. The room was spacious, reasonably well furnished and clean. The air-con was quiet and efficient. Linen was clean and of good quality as were the towels. Pool towels were freely available and also of good quality. Pillows were comfy too. Buildings were pleasant and well painted and the hotel was well situated overlooking the bay.

This hotel could be seriously improved with a change of management. The pleasant pool had the facility for a swim-up bar but this was not in use. The main bar was also only intermittently staffed. The restaurant was relatively expensive and the menus outside were invariably a couple of days out of date. It was necessary to be there early for the buffet breakfast and dinner in order to have anything like the full choice. It was difficult to get to the nearby highly recommended Seahorse Restaurant as the gate to the lower road was locked (for security?) at 6pm. However this hotel is not a bad choice for the budget- conscious traveller.

The hotel staff were very friendly.

I didn't like that I called ahead to re-confirm my reservation only to be told that I didn't have one.

The staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. We felt very comfortable and relaxed and we enjoyed the ambience. We took the ocean view rooms and enjoyed listening to the sounds of the ocean, especially at nights. We will definitely visit again. Thank you.

Al momento de hacer la reserva se indica que es posible hospedar 4 adultos en una habitacion con dos camas dobles, sin embargo al momento de llegar te obligan a que pagues otra habitacion adicional.

El desayuno , la vista de la habitacion y el personal fue muy amable con mi familia.

Son muchas las cosas que no me gustaron, el mobiliario del hotel es demasiado viejo, se nota que fue bueno y de calidad hace muchos anos y que no le han dado la inversion que necesita, no hay vigilancia dentro de las instalaciones, nunca la vi, solo habian como 5 huespedes, muy solitario, y lejos de todo. A juro tienes que alquilar un vehículo.

Quite, clean, beach, it is a comfortable and relaxing place to go on a vacation.

The service, rooms, pool & breakfast were all great! Nice for family & kids.

The wrist bands which they place at the reception at from desk, that is when you check-in were the worse. While bathing my kids & myself it keep scraping & injuring your skin. We ended up having many scrapes on our hands, back etc.. Imagine bathing your young baby and the wrist band keep scaping his tender skin. They need to replace these hard plastic bands with a more soft, gentle type. Please replace these colored wrist bands!!

The staff were very friendly and took feedback cordially. The location was convenient for the event we were attending at Buccoo. The common areas are well maintained.

There were no towels in the room when we arrived and no guest directory, so no information in the room about the hotel's facilities or how to use the tv (which was very limited when we did figure it out), or even what number to dial for front desk. The hotel is in need of updating, particularly the guest rooms.
