Score from 17 reviews Very good
Great view of the nicest beach in Trinidad, nice day trip. Allowed an early check in and even though we got there later than planned they made us a lovely breakfast
Very simple accommodations, probably wouldn't stay for more than a day. Just a small room kind of tight for two people for a long stay
The natural environment and proximity from the beach is good.
The facilities are not the best, the place needs refurbishing. Though they were generally kept in a decent condition, there were some droppings in the shower area that should have been cleaned and used soap that should have been removed. On the last night of my stay the a/c didn't work well and the host was not willing to even come to the room to verify the complaint - she actually refused to answer any subsequent calls. We spoke and came to an understanding at check-out however the customer service left much to be desired! It was not consistent, sometimes good at other times noticeably bad!!!
I loved the room (we stayed at the bigger room with fridge, TV and microwave), the staff was very friendly and attentive, the food was great. Even if I we're on the beach for the day, I will definitely stop in for a meal. We were really happy with the facility itself.
The facility is located on a very steep incline, which is really hard to get up to once you're down on the beach especially for people who may have foot/related injuries like myself. The bar located across the road also plays loud music for pretty much the whole weekend, so if you're looking for peace and quiet, maybe get somewhere further from the beach facility or go during the week.
I liked the view from the room and the service we got for breakfast.
The bed was horrible it needs to change it actually broke and we took of the top mattress and slept on the floor there we condom wrappers between the mattress and the base. The host was very hostile the night when a little accident took place when my partner went out and returned honest mistake.I dont think i would stay there again,
My boyfriend and I spent one night there and would definitely recommend it to locals and foreigners. The staff, the service and the food all lived up to my expectations.
The location was perfect - just opposite the beach with stunning views. Fantastic tour provided by Rodney, a local tour guide - why the lodge did not promote local tours I will never know!
The manager requested that if there where any problems to see him or his wife - however he was never available and to be honest could learn how to greet people - by asking about persons stay, options available - such as tours. The staff where good -providing help and information - however I felt that the manager and his wife could have made more of an effort!
The location and room were very nice
When we arrived there was no electricity and no back up generator. had to drive all the way back into town to get something to eat
The sea view was n air conditioning was both refreshing.
Not all staff was welcoming n accommodating ! One in particular need to improve her people skills so that she can interact with her guest appropriately ! Service was poor in quality! Found 3 cockroaches in our room. After 3 days we had to request room clean n beds was made up without changing sheets that was dirty.
Great food and drinks. Friendly staff. Beach was across the street. Great views of beach, mountains, and forest. Reasonable prices for food and room. Had air conditioning!
Rooms could use some updating. More attention to room cleanliness. Include souvenirs to purchase. The instant coffee, would have preferred brewed.
Loved the scenic view of the beach and it's easy access. Also loved the atmosphere of calm and serenity.
I like that I was close to one of the best beaches trinidad had to offer
The woman who ran the hotel was very rude
Location is ok
The meals were excellent, and the view was spectacular. A nice peaceful stay. Very relaxing.
The room could do with an upgrade a bit small but cozy.
Great staff, good food, and great location. Hidden part of Trinidad where the mountains are green and water is clear blue.
One shower of the two rooms didn't work too well, so we shared the 1.
This very small hotel is just across from the beach an easy walk. We ate at the snack bar across the road by the beach. The beach is good for a pleasant long walk. Swimming is not a good idea as the waves make a dangerous undertow. It is a public beach with lifeguards and a police station there too.
Expensive one-way trip from the Piarco airport, $70.00 usd. Our room was very basic. Towels, no face cloths, mold on many places in bathroom, the tiny bathroom window was dirty and broken, a towel rack was broken off the wall and left on another wire shelf (not replaced), walls of room were dirty, smudged and need painting desperately, Chair was broken in 2 places. Only 2 clothes hangers were usable. The air conditioning unit from the room next door made terrible noises all night long. After 10 P.M. there is no one in the hotel to contact and the doors were locked to the office until 8 A.M. There was no phone in our room or anywhere and we did not have a working cell phone so we had to email the owner Anand Persad about the terrible noise but he did not get the email until the next morning at breakfast. There was only one other couple there our second night and it was their air conditioner that was so noisy. It turned out that the compressor which was attached to the wall outside had a broken support bracket that was only held on by one bolt on one side. It took them quite a while to try to fix it the next day but it was a hack job at best. This hotel has seen better days and is in disrepair. Definitely not worth the price we were charged. We would not recommend this hotel ever.
We hated the place, no shuttle from the airport, despite what is written on the site, took more than an hour to get there, the place looks terrible , not even a 1 star hotel and they claim they are 4 star, the room is small , dark, the mattress was too soft, the little bathroom terrible, not a place to host visitors , I wouldn't recommend it to anyone
Bilingual staff, spanish spoken and very kind attention. Nice open bar and few steps from the beach... Excellent beach choice!
Difficult access, the city and malls are a little far. Direct or self-owned transportation would help.
-food was exceptional -beach exceeded expectations -support staff were very friendly
wifi did not work owners were somewhat hostile room was very very unclean sheets were not changed upon request
Great location right by the beach, good restaurant, helpful staff. There was a problem with our first room and the staff switched us right away to a new room, it was very nice of them.
The room was very dirty, I'm not sure whether or not it was really cleaned before we came. There was also a very strong mold smell and when we came back from the beach one day it looked like there were mouse droppings on the bed.
Great location right above the wonderful bay of Las Cuevas. Our stay was made a delight by the gracious ladies in charge of this hotel!
Breakfast was fantastic. Directly across from the beach.
There's no wifi.
Friendly staff. Good location. Private. Nice view.
Noisy AC compressor (or generator) makes it hard to sleep at night (will wake you up everytime it comes on). Was not informed of breakfast hours so missed it. Was not informed of Wifi connectivity or given the password. Could not pay with credit card as the lines were down. Had to pay cash. The room was dusty and could have been cleaned up beforehand. No ventilation in the Standard Room bathroom. That small very steep driveway is dangerous (install barricade on the side of the cliff?).
We love the view and good hospitality
