The rooms are rustic, 1960's, older and similar to what you'd
expect of a road side motel in the States. I like fancy luxurious hotels
(rooms)...but was comfortable. Again..the only beachfront access hotel
that doesn't require walking to the ocean. I literally walked out of
my room and less than 15 feet and was on the sandy beach. Took a
snorkeling trip with the tuna man and had fun.
This is the only hotel in Tobago that has beach front access outside
your hotel room. The hotel room itself is "okay" given I am a
4-5 star type of hotel stayer (w, Ritz Carlton, Sheraton, St, Regis,
etc.). For 350 per night you pay for the beach access, 3 meals a day
(breakfast, lunch and dinner) and one of the top resorts on the island.
There are no Ritz Carlton type places. The best accommodations would be
Magdalena, Coral Reef or Villas at Scarborough but they require some
walking to get to the beach. If you want a 4 Points Sheraton feel then
the aforementioned will get it. If you are ok with the Motel 8 with
beachfront outside your door access...the Turtle Beach is great. I got
over the room quickly and made the best of the beach, free drinks, pool
and free wifi. Other places do not have wifi or charge.
