Dong Wu Hotel  

The service at Dong Wu hotel was exceptional, and the value for money well beyond my expectations. The location is central to many tourist attractions, and we would gladly stay there again.

Good services

The rooms are very clean and well equipped. Unfortunately mine was windowless but surprisingly it didn't disturb me in the end. It's proximity to the MRT station makes it convenient to get around the city and made up for the drab and uninteresting surrounding of the hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Some hotel reviews complained about the breakfast but I like it. I find the local fares interesting. Added bonus is the free use of computers with internet connection in the dining room. Bedrooms have wifi connection as well. Would not hesitate to stay in this hotel the next time around.

I can't fault it. It's true to its description. Price is right. However, it would be good if there is a porter to help with the luggage.

Excellent Service 5 Star! Great front desk staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable offered great suggestion and tourist detailed info on transportation and hotspots. Great help! Great clean and comfortable room with great wifi and lots of cable channels. Awesome coffee house with good breakfast. Enjoyed long breakfast with good range of newspapers iht and Taipei news, lots of good magazines E.G. Times. There are 3 computers including a great Mac with printers. Service 1st class! We were there from 29 Mar till 1st April, left for Kaoshuing for 3 days from !st till 3rd, came back and stayed from 3rd till 5 April again. Before we left for Kaoshuing, front desk staff offered to keep my large luggage since we will be back again, great help as we only took a hand carry for 3 days! When we came back, we were pleasantly surprised housekeeping kept our Face wash we left in the bathroom, usually when you checkout whatever you left in bathroom would be taken as trash if its not valuable. Very meticulous staff! Definitely a great hotel for this price range! Mrt is newly opened since Nov 2011, very new and near 5 mins walk to Daqiaotou mrt station takes you everywhere just a few stations from most city tourist spots. DEfinitely coming back again as 1st choice!

Near the mrt station, hall and room very clean, facilities is ok, price is fair, service and staf are good, brackfirst is nice etc.

The hotel gives good value for money and provide excellent service, providing something extra in allmost every way. The breakfast had good selection and was tasty, a huge selection of magazines to borrow, as well as computers with printers free to use. Rooms has all amendities (safe, water boiler, toiletries, wifi and LAN in the room, satelite tv and the list goes on). They also took care of excess luggage during 2 day trip out of town. the hotel is a little out from the city center (main train station), but you cover the whole city easily by use of MRT.

Dong Wu Hotel was extremely clean and comfortable with a friendly, helpful staff.

Good double bed for myself.

Overall is good, loved the services staff, the Cleanliness of the hotel is awesome, although location wise is not as near to MRT, but taking bus in front of the hotel to Taipei Main Station is easy, easier than taking MRT, and cheaper. the breakfast is good. but would prefer more selection, and non repeating will be great. well definitely will be staying here again on my next visit.

the only things i do not like about the hotel is the pillows too soft.

I think it is a good hotel providing an acceptable standard of service together with kind behavior of the staff and availability of the your requirements for a good stay. Internet service is available free of charge all the time at rooms and everywhere at hotel. Coffee and Tea are also available almost during day and night free of charge. It is also very close to mrt station, therefore, you can go everywhere without difficulties. It is also close to many shops providing foods and drink like 711,carrefore and other shops. You can get the best value for money you expect in this hotel

Absence of windows in room was not good. Breakfast was almost Chinese despite of being not very bad

It was a nice, clean hotel, with an adequate breakfast.

The darkness of the rooms, and the bathtub was difficult to get in and out of.
