Blanket too thin
Grand hotel in true Asian style
corner room was good great views good location mall under the hotel
1. breakfast - only brown sugar, coffee not good, not 5 star 2. Expensive
The themed room we booked was awesome. The staff was also able to speak in English. Our breakfast were served to us directly to our room. Well, maybe that's what one get when paid for a themed Hello Kitty room.
Location wise, it is a bit far from the station. Walking will take about 20 to 30 minutes from the station.
service was consistently excellent
disorganised queues at breakfast time where there were clearly free tables
Very nice, clean facility.
Charge for the Wi-Fi... At your hotel rates, Wi-Fi should be included if you are targeting business travelers.
Excellent harbor view from the 35th floor. Awesome proper room service. Great outdoor pool. Decent bathroom. Generally quiet. Free breakfast buffet. Staff were excellent and very accommodating. Free Wifi.
TV service was rubbish but if you bring your laptop then you can use the free wifi anyway. Banging noises from other rooms, we couldn't work out what it was, only occasional seemed to be whenever people entered or exited the room. Changed rooms once, same problem but only occasional. Generally happy with stay. Recommended.
The room rate
Staff & location Shopping mall just next door
Cleanliness could be Better ( e.g. Carpet in room)
The staff are really friendly and professional and make you feel at home. The swimming pool is clean and usually not too crowded in the afternoon.
The mattresses are too old and too soft. I have to buy MFD board to put on top of the mattress.
The bellman were the most polite on the property.
The rooms are fairly small, does not allow for extra bed without feeling crowded. The charge for extra bed is also very expensive. The pool charges 150 twd to buy a cap or 120 to rent. The staff was very rude and made us feel unwelcomed. Will not stay here again.
Convenience with shopping dept store and restaurants and supermarket combined in same complex.
There was a slight unpleasant odour in the room
attitude of the manager on duty
The staff is super friendly and I called this place home for my four day stay. The swimming pool and spa area is up to par.
The bed really sucks. I have to add hard boards underneath or else the mattress is too soft. I have shoulder and head arches every morning from the bed. The hotel needs to replace old mattresses starting with the executive floors.
the hotel is highly comfortable, the lobby is very well set and the swim pool is nice
The restaurants are too much expensive and the Harbour restaurant not very clean. I preferred go out for dinner. There is nothing interesting near around, and you're obliged to make some kilometers to a better position for shopping and restaurants.
I am really enjoy the stay. The comfort of the room and the helpful stuffs.
Very help full staff at executive lounge. Booked and picked up all my train tickets. Making my trip effortless.
very friendly and considerate personnel, no smell from the drain (a rare feat in Southeast Asia)
a little worn out, update of TV required, location not so convenient - need taxi for everything (remember: no sidewalks in Kaohsiung)
The bathroom is spacious.
The furnitures are a bit worn. The breakfast room was crowded. There was a wide variety of taiwanese food but mostly are oily and deep fried. The choice on western food is very limited.
The pool and sauna facilities were perfect.
Breakfast needed more Non-Asian offerings.
The location, and overall comfort
The breakfast a bit too Asian
Room is clean and comfortable.
Gym facilities and service are not as expected for a Five stars Hotel. Concierge is not warm welcome.
View of the harbour. The Executive Lounge was very good.
The friendly helpful staff
The fact there wasn't an ironing board in the room
