The staff extreme friendly and helpful. The room is CLEAN with bathtub. Breakfast is well prepared with a nice outdoor garden. Walking distance to nearby train station.

Hotel staff were friendly & helpful. Location in downtown near Taipei 101 is great. The room I had on the top floor (floor 9) was very clean with a large and very comfortable bed. Not a lot of facilities in this smallish hotel and breakfast was so-so. However, the hotel is right next door to Carnegies, a well known bar/restaurant especially with Taipei expats. The food and breakfast there is excellent. On the whole... My two-night r & r stay at the Hotel hd Palace was enjoyable and very comfortable indeed.

Plumbing got a bit noisy at times at night, but just closed the bathroom door & wasn't really disturbed by it... There was nothing in the mini-bar fridge but there are convenience stores nearby including a CitySuper store in the Far East shopping centre just down the road

This hotel was in a good part of the city, lot of cool bars nearby. Only 10mins walk to the closest train station. Room comfortable, staff helpful and breakfast very good.

The fact that anyone can access the lifts up to the floors of rooms is a little off putting considering there are two bars downstairs from the hotel.

The hotel is quite and clean. Not too much fuss. Reception staff are friendly. Lots of eating places near by.

A bit far from places that I like to go. Spent quite a bit on taxi trips. Nice that taxi cost is cheaper than in HK.

The staff is very helpful. The hotel is not so far from main places but however 10min walk to the nearest mrt station.

The breakfast is not fantastic. The hotel is looking old and I was disappointed when I arrived because it did not look like on the pictures. However rooms are clean and bed is very comfortable.

Location was great. Very close to night markets, bars, shopping, 101 Staff very friendly and helpful.

The location is strategically near the night market and a walking distance from 101 building and business centres.

The appearance of the main entrance is not appealing to visitor. Observe more mature guest ambience not fit for family vacation.

The buffet was really nice.

There was a very rude and sarcastic lady who appeared to be the supervisor at the reception counter. She was not very friendly when we asked for directions to places where we could buy local snacks to bring back to Singapore. She scolded our kids for playing in the lobby. She called and rushed us to check out and that was before 12pm. When we reached the lobby at 12pm, she asked us to pay up for the additional beds as though we owed her money. No receipt was given upon payment and no "Thank you". She was exceptionally friendly to Caucasians though. I have to mention the other staff are friendlier. But our encounter with her is unpleasant enough to make us not return to this hotel. This is a very child-unfriendly hotel so guests with young children should avoid this hotel.

The staff was exceptionally helpful. This is a very nice facility but it is the staff and their helpfulness that would bring me back.

The location was great, close to the buses and mrt stations. The bathroom and shower was quite nice, good water pressure. For the breakfast, they made a good effort to double check the food for my food allergies so I had no incidents. The staff was very friendly, and one of the staff members played the piano during breakfasts in the morning, which was a nice touch.

At the breakfast, they seemed to try to clean up after everyone too quickly, often trying to take away plates before people were finished eating. I liked that they were able to exchange my us dollars, but the exchange rate was really bad with high service charges.

Small hotel, clean, friendly and convenient

It seemed like air shut down in the morning. Bathroom lighting not enough to put on makeup bathroom hook not enough - to hang clothes bathroom does not have enough counter space or top to put stuff room lighting switches not clear telephone does not have clear instruction - for example: it didn't say what number to dial for the front desk.
