We were placed in a room in a different and shady building about one block away. We were only informed of this after we had paid. There was no reception, no water dispenser, and not even a telephone, so if we wanted to request something, we had to walk to the original building of the property where the reception is located. Also, there was no security at night.
Housekeeping was sloppy and didn't seem to sweep the floor, as there was a pile of hair that was already in the room when we arrived and wasn't cleaned for days. We had to remove it ourselves.
Beds were hard, uncomfortable, and not clean (hairs, stains, etc.). There was no mirror in the room (only in the bathroom) and there was no shower curtain or partition so whenever someone showered, the whole bathroom floor would get wet. There were also no hooks for clothes in the bathroom. Toiletries and towels were not always replenished. No common restroom in both buildings.
When we asked for an extra pillow, it took them two days to give us an old, smelly rectangular piece of foam. And that was after we asked them a second time.
We requested for late checkout at 15:00, which was approved by the establishment. But when we returned before that time, they had already checked in the next guests and seemed ready to move our luggage out of the room. And no, they weren't able to clean the room for the next guests.
Needless to say, we will not be coming back. Worst "hotel" ever.
Located near Ximending area and MRT station.
