Score from 302 reviews Very good
The room is big with excellent view. The facilities and service is excellent. really value for money
The spring bad very hard .
Very spacious room & bathroom. Very good view from my room. Very good service by staff
Breakfast menu can be improved.
Good location, close to malls, rail etc Nice views over the city Friendly staff large buffet with plenty of choice
Bed was extremely firm, not to my liking.
Not a 5 star hotel while it is rated as 5 star.
The view of room is nice, If you stay in higher floors. But considering what we pay and what we get, it's overpriced. The hotel should go to remodeling. All the concepts are nice, but since the building has more than 10 years, everything is older. And we stayed at executive room. The room amenities are from L'Occitane.
Older furnishes, decoration and mainly, there are some strange and unpleasant smell at 1st floor and some other floors. Thanks God the room is clean and nice and didn't have the smell of old things. ..
The suite room is big and comfortable even the facilities are the latest. The southern view from 60F is fabulous but I will like to stay at Panorama suite to have better harbor and city view. The location is good and just several minutes from San-do subway station. Rinya nigh market is far about 10 min walk. Lots of local foods can be found there.
The varieties of breakfast buffet is not enough for a 5-star hotel. Too much water in expresso make by their machine. Gym and sauna are not recommended. Their facilities are old as 80s'.
We have been staying at the 85 Sky Tower numerous times, and we are never disappointed. It is a good deal for your money with well worth view of the Harbor or the City. It is easy to recognise the building giving you a great landmark in a big City. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff is helpful and professional. Very clean bathroom. It is easy access by taxi to many places, and the neighbourhood has everything you need. If they can maintain the price of rooms as is, then it is worthwhile.
It can get pretty crowded, but its normal for such a big hotel. The breakfast is always the same everyday, and it is mostly Chinese food. If you are a westerner it can get tough if you don't enjoy Congee or stir fries in the morning. I also wish they had a bigger selection of fruits for a country that has among the best fruits in the world. I definitely advise buyings fruits in the street for your room.
Good view, grand deco, very china
Got to drag our own luggage from car park at basement to hotel lobby at 39 floor, and got to change lift. Very tiring....no bell service and those man at hotel entrance are so unfriendly, didnt allow us to stop ....
view from the room
it takes really long to reach the room in the top floors (two elevators needed) the hotel is too big equipment of the room was quite shabby and not cosy
We can see the whole city view of Kaohsiung. The hotel is just near the big departments stores and night market, it;'s very convenient.
Very well located and near to many eating places, 5 mins walk to MRT.
Very nice view, particularly the view of the bay area.
A few staffs had little knowledge on their hotel. For example, at the reception desk, one of them explained that our room (family room for 3 adults) is equipped with only one large bed. How can we 3 adults sleep in a bed? Actually this was wrong; there were 4 beds. We asked the other staff about the location the restaurant for breakfast. However, she did not know.
1. Friendly staff and full of smile. 2. There are always taxis awaiting hotel guests. In Kaohsiung on the street you can't easily find taxis. 3. Walking distance to the new 24 hour library. 4. Good food in the Sky Lounge on the reception floor.
1. Thin and uncomfortable blankets. 2. Limited choices of TV channels. 3. Poor quality slippers.
International breakfast The view!
Nice view, very clean, friendly staff
mattress was somewhat too hard
The breakfast is a little bit too Chinese style.
everything especially the pool area
Excellent service, very friendly staff, good breakfast, spacious room, tallest hotel, very good city view from the room. central location
spectacular view from my room in the 67th floor; very well organized; breakfast buffet with a great variety of Asian and Western food; indoor smoking room at 41st floor
it's a big hotel, so it got rather crowded on the weekend
the bed is too hard. need to request for additional softeners. Need to speak Mandarin with the staff as they are not well versed with English. Breakfast has a huge spread of Chinese cuisines but limited western choices.
Our room was at 62th floor, the room view was so good, the facilities deserve 5-star hotel ranking, good breakfast
Not very closed to the metro station
Location Food Views
Odd room Odd entrance
The Japanese restaurant, the room service menu.
We went to the swimming pool on a Sunday; it was closed Sunday and Monday! There should have been a notice about this, somewhere, maybe in the lift?
Nice view in 67 th floor Helpfull staff Huge buffet for breakfast
Sauna only for some roomrates
