Stay here for a night because it was near to airport (bout 20 mins) as we have an early flight. Don't be deceive by the room photo when choosing or booking this hotel cos I feel so cheated after checking in. Very outdated hotel like back to the 70s/80s, I dont feel a least bit secure at all, cos was given a key instead of auto key card type. Hygiene is a real big issue here as the Room was filthy & small & carpet is moulded, stained & sticky. Lousy breakfast, serving plates, cups, saucer & cutlery not clean!!!!!! It's worst than a motel, shouldn't be consider a hotel at all. Totally not recommended for anyone unless you don't mind the filthiness of the room. There are better hotel at Taoyuan near the airport, like Novetel, City Suites, Holiday Inn Express or Mornach.
Location good and free shuttle service is good for me. Staff friendly
Facility a bit old.
Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Very clean facility. Shuttle to the airport was on time and efficient. Bed was comfortable. Beautiful pool and hot tub. Ok gym. Ping pong and pool table were an added bonus. I would go back.
A couple of the staff at front desk and restaurant were particularly unhelpful. Business centre is not at all adequate for a business traveller. No designated printer. Very small facility. Only 2 computers. Only one worked when I was there.
staff are helpful even if they cannot speak english that much..
there were group of tourists at the lobby who were really at the top of their voices..practically shouting at one another even if they are just two inches away from each other...
Large and comfortable rooms the free shuttle to the airport
opening hour for the pool only in the late afternoon
Taoyuan Hotel was close to the airport, offered a free airport shuttle and close proximity to bus lines. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was yummy. A great first impression of Taiwan and I would definitely stay there next time.
I didn't have a face washer in my bathroom. Maybe it is something not supplied in Taiwan because the other hotels were the same.
room are big and clean and quite, restuarent can find easily just opposite the hotel.
Bfast is too simple and not classy at all very poor style of breakfast its the lousiest food i ever had for my breakfast Wont go back again, never booking.com need to be more honest to recommend places with a good heart and consideration to its guest as they are naive and unaware of it. Its your duty to be thoughtful for the guest who pay whether cheap or expensive
I understand from other people this is area around the hotel is surrounded by deceased people keeping temporarily before sending for burial, good grief what a false recommendation and not just making dollars or profit but efforts lacking and must learn to give a good service and consideration for the guest at your best effort, right or not If you are the guest yourself tell me how you feel is how we guest feel.
Many restaurants in area. Ten min by taxi to taoyuan train station. Free shuttle to airport.
Good Western and Chinese restaurants, but breakfast was just OK.
Free shuttle bus pick up.
The staff is good and friendly. The hotel looks great outside but not so good inside. however, there is not too many choices in Taoyuan.
Faciliations are very old, looks like 10 years ago.
The staff and the free shuttle to the airport ( one way ).
Breakfast buffet is acceptable, but nothing to write home about. The room is tired. Carpet needs shampoo real bad. Bathrooms need upgrading. My AC was too warm.
spacious room, well decorated and nice and helpful staffs
Most if not all of the workers at the front desk spoke English. The front desk workers were well versed on the area and offered many suggestions for sightseeing. There is a 7/11 convenience store located across the street from the hotel. The facade of the building as well as the lobby gave an impression of a clean hotel.
We stayed on the 'executive' floor, which maybe it was 30 years ago but now it is just a floor of poorly renovated rooms. The room we were in was spacious, but the carpet was heavily stained. It appeared that there was once an open balcony that had been incorporated into the room. Unfortunately the flooring wasn't changed. So the room is about three quarters stained carpet and one quarter outdoor flooring. The ceiling is very uneven and looks like the drywall could collapse at any moment. The bathroom is simple, and although there is a separate tap for 'ice cold drinking water' it only worked half of the time, and when it did work, the water was quite warm. The shower/tub area was raised and the shower head was not adjusted to match this height. The shower head maybe comes up about four feet so anyone taller than that will have a difficult time showering. But at $80 a night you get what you pay for.
The hotel was relatively close to airport and had a superb staff who were really helpful and friendly. They also offer one free airport shuttle ride to or from airport. The hotel driver greeted me with a sign at the airport and was very friendly.
The hotel is a bit old and they were in the midst of renovating the rooms and floors.
The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The free (one time per stay) shuttle to the airport and HSR was very needed. Free bottled water in the room is nice. The drinking water dispenser in the bathroom was a very welcome feature. General appearance is very clean except what is mentioned in "what I did not like".
The breakfast is marginally acceptable considering the food culture in Taiwan. I stayed twice and one of the room I stayed had soiled carpet. The bath room fixtures are all worn out. The tile work and bath rooms are very dated and needs updating badly.
The airport shuttle service is free and they gave us a morning call to ensure that we were able to catch the morning flight.
Poor communication - one of the staffs at the reception do not understand English at all. Arrived at 2pm and was not allow to check-in as 3pm is the official check-in time. Very disappointed as other hotels I have stayed during this trip in Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung allowed a slight earlier check-in, except this hotel in Taoyuan. The room was terrible! Room was so stinky with mouldy smell, was not able to sleep comfortably and blanket was too thin with unpleasant smell too. Price of room is overrated and yet a lousy quadruplet room and no breakfast offered. Will never go back to this hotel again.
The staff was great. Friendly and professional. local restraunts near the hotel were good.
location is kind of far from Taoyuan Station.
Great staff. The check in was done with courtesy and efficiency. The hourly hotel shuttle to the airport was on time and courteous. Lobby was a football pitch of marble which gave a clean look and good first impression. Location in residential neighborhood was very convenient for shopping and dining.
Room carpet was a bit older and so was the bathtub. But there was remodeling going on. The airport shuttle capacity was 10 or less so make sure you make your reservation 3 days in advance per the hotel instructions or risk a 350 TW taxi to the airport.
Good staff. Eddy is very helpful in terms of our shuttle services, suggests places to go, etc. Cheap accomodation. Near Taipei 101 station.
The location is hard to find. Taxi drivers don't know the place.
Big room Good service A lot of shops which I could eat there Transport service to the airport.
No MRT The lock of the door uses traditional lock.
My 5 year old son and I have stayed here 3 times now on stopovers between Australia and Canada. Initially it was because it was the only hotel that would let us stay from 7am to 9pm without a lot of extra charges and also because they were the only hotel that communicated well in English via email. They also have a free shuttle (which is now only free one way). The area seems a bit dodgy but the hotel itself is fine and the staff really try hard to make you happy. There is a kids playground the size of the moon close to the hotel and taxis are cheap. We have made it our regular stopover pitstop.
Taoyuan is hot, stinky and (seems) dangerous. Not sure if other areas around Taipei are better. The hotel is fine though
Good staff, good rooms, good breakfast, free shuttle bus. Near the airport (only 20 minute drive). Good prices for rooms.
They promised to wait us around tourist service center when we will arrive but they forgot about this and the bus came to pick up us after I called to the hotel. They have free shuttle bus for only one way.
the room was clean, the service was good, shuttle to airport was on time and the schedule was flexible. if the parking lot full in basement, they will find a parking space for us
air condition seems not working properly, it was too cold and hard to adjust it.
