Staff are very efficient and extremely polite
Pretty much everything. It is my 2nd return here.
Overall it's one of the very best in Taipei
Perfect. Brand new hotel, clean, outdoor pool, excellent spa, great accomodation and service.
Nothing! Excellent hotel.
The service is running smooth and professional. The guest is in the center of the attention in a discreet way. Rooms are welcoming and comfortable. Will choose the hotel anytime again.
Beautifully furnished and decorated, courteous and professional staff, great breakfast choices, super location. Will stay there in future.
I live in a room on the 16th floor. The room is very spacious and has a gorgeous view. The layout is great, esp the sliding doors that divide up the bathroom and sleeping area. Unlike many other hotels, the room of this hotel is bright and good for reading. The shower is superb, and the TV and coffee machine are good too. All the staff are nice and professional.
Just to be picky - The food quality of the Japanese restaurant can be better, given the top price it charges. The pillow is a bit too soft, but it's pretty standard everywhere.
The hotel is centrally located for both leisure and business purposes. Shopping, eating and anything you can think of are just steps away. MRT station is within 5 minutes walk, very convenient to go everywhere.
Breakfast buffet is not too exciting, can be better.
Friendly and helpful staff, got free upgrade to junior suite! Health centre is clean and well equipped
Breakfast buffet can be better, lack of variety
Need to wear hat for swimming, which is very unusual in a 5 star hotel
Best outdoor pool in any hotel in Taipei, Toto Japanese toilet, toilet and shower on separate sides of room
a little kitsch in design, typically Japanese
Absolutely loved my stay at Okura. The stuff was excellent, very attentive and discreet. The gym and pool facilities were amazing! Got upgraded to a fantastic room upon check in.
We have been many hotels in Taipei including W hotel, grand hyatt, etc. But nothing exceeding the service and standard set by Okura. Furthermore, the price is normally 30-40% lower than those top tier hotels in TW. Look no further.
location, staff, pool.
Beautiful hotel - as of 2014, just about 2 years (give or take) old. Really feels like a luxury hotel with lots of amenities. Location is in the business district, which for some cities means it's deserted at night, but in Taipei it's a good area. Always busy, lots open later at night. Certainly not deserted. Other than the comfort of the hotel, I must give extra accolades to the staff. Each and every person I dealt with was AMAZING - friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, attentive. Really, they made my stay!!! Breakfast buffet is huge with lots of options, though the staff there was less attentive in terms of answering questions about "what is this?", etc. (they were friendly just not as excellent as the front desk/concierge/bell hops). Room was so comfortable, nice and quiet, well lit, tech-advanced. Safe in room was comforting and a nice touch. Wifi (free) worked beautifully. AMPLE free bottled water in room - so so so nice! Also a Nespresso machine and water kettle in room. My stay at this hotel has left me with an excellent opinion of the Okura line of hotels.
It was rather expensive - to be expected I suppose for the star level? My only room complaint was that in the shower, there was a small bit of mold. It wasn't where your feet would touch - moreso in the little "moat" created around the standing area and intended for drainage. But, for such a high star hotel which was very clean elsewhere this was a surprise for me. I asked for it to be fixed twice, but both times they wanted to come immediately and I wasn't ready for visitors (jet lag). I gave up asking, partially my fault. I would not let this deter you from choosing this hotel. I can only imagine this type of challenge is a rarity. I would certainly stay here again provided my budget allowed.
Well, where do I begin? My wife and I came to Taiwan on our honeymoon not expecting the best hotel stay of our lifetime thus far, and yet we have found it at Okura prestige Taipei. The moment we walked into the lobby, we were greeted warmly by all the staff starting from the doormen all the way up to the managers. Once inside of our room, we were stunned by the amenities this wonderful hotel offers. The room was so big that myself and my wife slept comfortably without disturbing each other. The bathroom was divided into two, one for showering and the other for "waste management". The shower head was so big that both of us stood underneath it with no problem (I am 6 feet and my wife 5'7"). The bath had a tv in front of it so I could watch whatever I wanted with a cold beer in hand while my wife enjoyed the 50inch big screen high def tv on the feathery soft bed. The other bathroom has a robotic ToTo toilet that has an option for automatic washing of private parts after each use. Enough said. Onto the spa, well, my wife came back and said it was so good that her eyes started to roll back......yeah, definitely a must for all who stay here! (Btw, the spa is free) Last but not least, the food was absolutely fantastic. It was around 2400 NTB (Taiwan currency), so while it was a little pricey, it was definitely worth it. The seafood tasted like the clean ocean, and quite frankly, as a dark chocolate lover myself, the little chocolate square was the slow melting and releasing of coco heaven in my mouth. My wife and I have travelled to many places in the world, and quite honestly, we were blown away by the Okura prestige Taipei. Thank you to this beautiful hotel and the amazing people that work there, you guys introduced us to Taiwan in ways that can only be described as the best.
Nothing. Well, the only part we disliked about staying at the Okura prestige Taipei was when we had to leave.
Amazing service Very nice pool
We have to wear a cap bath to swim
Bed was very comfortable, facilities were all great.
One of the best hotels we've stayed in, and probably the best overall in terms of value for money.
I really enjoyed the central location to fantastic shopping, great selections of Japanese and local restaurants in the neighbourhood. The staffs are very professional and helpful!
there is no better place to taipei, everything is accessible - shopping, taxi etc..food is buffet style with lots of choices
Nice and kind staffs Nice breakfast buffet with Japanese style rice and soup Nice location to approach various tourist attractions (101, Yongkangje, etc)
Affordable price.. :0
Extraordinary service. Extremely helpful and polite staff.
The view from the lower floors is excellent if you like derelict gray buildings...
The shower is fantastic!
