Yomi Hotel Taipei

The Yomi has excellent friendly and helpful staff. The hotel does that little bit extra. For example, free snacks are placed in the room each day. Free use of phone chargers available next to reception. Free use of bicycles available from reception. In the breakfast room there is a free use massage chair which I tried most mornings. Rooms had comfy beds, in room safety deposit boxes, tea/coffee making facilities, very large flat screen TV and DVD player.

Although the bed and bathroom were very clean, floors and furniture surfaces were not cleaned properly. Room walls were thin and you could hear the other guests unless you had your TV on.

The hotel staff were surprisingly very accommodating, polite, conversant in English and very honest. My daughter left her camera at the dining hall, the lady staff ran after us to the bus station as we were about to leave for the airport then. We thank her so much for the effort since the pix in the cam were priceless memories of our brief stay in Taipei. Our family enjoyed our Christmas Holiday in Taipei.

The location of the hotel was excellent. It was not more than 10min walk to the nearest metro station. Good range of meal choices around the hotel.

I do not like anything at all in this hotel and I think most of the comments from other peoples who stay in this hotel in your website were very exagerrated. I doubt that the comments might be written by your staff or the hotel staff.

The hotel non smoking sign is on every floor but the whole building smell like a cigarette factory. When I read the comments it mention about free shuttle service to every where in the city and I recheck with the hotel web site which is written the same thing that they provide this free service but when I arrived the staff said this service was canceled since October, this is cheating.I went to Ali Shan and have to come back and stay for one more nightI because we left some luggages at the hotel so I have booked for VIP king size bed room but they gave me queen size bed instead. First I want to cancel but we check-in very late and we leave the next morning any way so I was very upset but can not do anything much.

Convenient location; clean, comfortable room; friendly staff.

On arrival, the room booked was not available, so I was "upgraded" to a noisy room facing the street. (After I was "downgraded" on the second night, I was happy.) Although the staff speaks some English, it was clearly not comfortable for them, so it wasn't really possible to have a conversation.

very good furniture, traditional style room{delux room}, breakfast a bit limited {drinks) , but nice and variable. Friendly reception, 3 min to the station by foot, nice food outlet around.

Room with windows into the wall. Aircondit. not adjustable, location a bit off the central parts of Taipei. No shuttle service to the city any more. Bath was liking a bit.

Very good and comfortable hotel. Definitely nice in almost every way. Friendly staff, lot of free extra services etc. 100% sure return on my next Taipei trip if rooms available.

Yep, like others have said also, breakfast is nothing to "brag" about. Quite poor, but it really didn't matter for me in overall so much.

Unfortunately, there was somewhat of a constant cigarette smoke smell in the corridors. My business partner, who was in another room, had to switch to another room because he couldn't sleep the first night due to a very strong cigarette smell. This can really be a big concern for a lot of people. A suggestion for you: here in Canada you could be fined or charged if you're caught smoking in your hotel room. Just a suggestion...
