Staff and facilities . As well as overall cleanliness , beach activities was well planned and excellent !!!
That the beach bar closes at 12pm D:
This hotel is not WOW nor would I describe it as 5 star. It's a nice hotel but very standard and certainly not a luxury resort like we described and what we expected. The staff are really nice warm and welcoming although easily confused at times, especially at reception. The pool was salt water and cold, which to me is not 5*. The all inclusive food was average but a good selection of dishes, the desserts were terribe and cheap! The pool bar snack food was totally inedable and I would have not fed it to a dog! Rooms were standard, bed comfy but nothing special. We had 2 spa treatments, totally average and NOT worth the money! We personally would not return to this hotel. A nice stay but we were very disappointed and we didn't get what we had expected! Not 5*
Friendliness of staff. Top service at all times.
All v good.
The personal treatment and friendliness of staff. A wonderful experience which I would recommend to friends.
Incurred costs for in room dining. Guest visiting
Grounds are stunning. Food is excellent and did not get boring after 1 week.
-housekeeping would take random things from room (slippers, robe) without replacing and for no reason. -tea and coffee should be replaced. Tea cups were rinsed (not well) but not replaced during the week we were there. -gift shop is overpriced and two items purchased there broke within a day. -tours arranged by hotel are overpriced. -italian manager is a bit strange. We requested a 2 day extension and she confirmed it was fine. She asked for payment on the spot but we were heading for a tour and asked that we pay once back. She was visibly dismayed. We were staying on the resort and already pre-paid 4 nights. where would we have gone?? Further, the hotel then under-charged us by charging 1 night extension not 2, and out of honesty we informed them to receive no thanks from said manager. shes too frantic, did not enjoy dealing with her.
Bar attendants were on point
The personnel is always friendly and smiling. Thanks to all of them for making our stay enjoyable. The location is excellent. Very small effect of high/low tide compared to other parts of the island. You can swim all day long. The Nungwi beach is wonderfull with its white sands and crystal clean water.
Flies in the beach are sometimes disturbing. The foods are below average.
Food. Location. Sea/Beach.
All inclusive requires more quality service.
The service is competent, the rooms and the whole resort in general is well kept as it was supposed to be given the room prices.
First of all I soon discovered that are places in Zanzinbar that are far better than the Nungwuy/Kendwa area. The real deal in Zanzibar is the east coast. Beaches of stunning beauty and small boutique hotels and bungalows where you can experience the real Zanzibar atmosphere. Thank god I spent 4 more days in Paje (best beach in Zanzibar) otherwise I would have come back without experiencing the essence of Zanzibar. In Diamonds you can expect to have european families dressing for dinner as if they were in a western world resort (high heels, louis Vuitton accessories in Africa, etc) and gadgets all over the place: at breakfast, dinner and even on the beach. If you like the concept this should be your destination. Finally, the price is an absurd compared with the other alternatives available in the rest of the island and also in Nungwy.
Having to share with strangers in the villa.
