    - Laid back atmosphere, yet high standards with taste - Experienced staff, they know who and how they serve - Loved the sandy paths, walked bare foot day and night - Cosy get-away corners scattered around the facility - Blue monkeys, squirrels running around - Beautiful sea to swim in the afternoon -unlike the East coast where it's too hot!

    - Food is good, but mainly international. Would have preferred more local tastes. - There's a separate WIFI hot spot area, only available there - not in the restaurant, bar or rooms. - No restaurant or activity outside the lodge. Fumba means Fumba Lodge, that's it.

The staff were wonderful and very accommodating. Rumba lodge is a very relaxing place to stay.

Meals were quite expensive, but very tasty. Ordering a taxi from the lodge is much more expensive than finding your own in Stonetown or at the airport.

Location is great, lots of places to relax on the site. Staff very friendly and helpful, enjoyed my overnight a lot. Food was good. Perfect getaway for a day to chill out!

Loved that I was able to get strong wifi connection in the wifi allocated zone... But would have liked it closer to the main restaurant area. Would have liked to check my emails over breakfast for example. Probably only because I was travelling alone ;)

    * excellent food (also vegetarian) * very friendly waiters * nice hidden places

*Noisy at night beause there are no windows (animals etc.) * the rooms need more light * I have been bitten for more than 40 times

Good beach, warm water, great weather, food reasonable (not fab), reasonably priced, scuba diving was fun but expensive, good pool and bar area, friendly staff and clients

Bed bugs on 1st night - they eventually changed the mattress, remote location costing $40 each way to Stone Town, stomach aches for both of us on the last night. Basically not a good start or ending. Note you have to pay an airport tax on departure of $40 each (bit of a con really as we already paid $50 for the visa). Make sure you have yellow fever cert or there is a fine and then you are allowed in without any vaccination (what's the point in that???)

The waiting staff were so friendly and were happy to do anything for you. The rooms got made up everyday which was really lovely. Helped arrange trips out in Zanzibar

Rooms had enough space, beds were comfortable, staff was so nice. A peaceful place for old couples. If you are diving, they offer cool options.

Dinner is not included and there isn't any other place to eat, so you have to pay 80 dollars for a dinner. we paid too much extra at check out, it was more than accommodation. Also city tour is too expensive for what they offered. First day, pool was so dirty, second day it was closed. we only had our last morning to swim in a clean pool. Beach is too small. As the last thing, if you are a young couple or a friend group, you would be so bored. There is not any attraction after dinner.
