My viewed hotels
Location and the traditional style.staff very friendly
No internet in the rooms.very expensive for what is offered
Close to airport
Room not as updated as I expect for $250 a night.
Tried to charge me twice. Showed my receipt and they asked me to pay half again. Have to check credit card bill when I get home.
1.nearness to airport 2.lovely layout of grounds 3.courteous staff
air conditioner did not work
Loved the simplistic elegance of it, beautiful views offered serenity during travel. Very clean, hot showers, comfy rooms! Food was excellent and shuttle service was a plus!!! I would stay here again or us another lodge by the same management during another adventure!
Drastic difference between east african resident prices and booking online as a visitor. (Double!)
No top sheet for bed Leaking ac No shampoo or conditioner or lotion or anything The room was not made up Terrible experience
It was quiet and clean
Limited breakfast and dinner menu. No TV anywhere on the premises. Internet only in the bar and no table to work on in the bar. Had to ask for a table.
Great location to airport. Friendly staff and good breakfast.
We liked the location and the beautiful setting, room was clean and tidy . Staff were very curtious and friendly
Thought the food was very poor , some of the food was inedible , we simple chose not to eat it...the shower in the room was not up to standard. And regardless of keeping the doors and windows closed the room was inendated with mosquitoes, no s
Way to expensive for what you get.
Close to Kili Airport, clean and comfortable room and bathroom, friendly staff, nice pool surrounds..
Staff a little bit casual (attention wise), uncomfortable / un attractive bar area.
big room, quiet, free shuttle to airport
1:The wifi router is just a decoration (only in the open bar), I stood below the router for hour and never connected to it (always showing requiring IP address). 2: expensive food and not tasty 3: credit card not working 4: does not deserve 230USD per night, I would only pay 80USD.
Very enchanting location right next to the airport
No fridge, nor TV - not even a shower gel: for that amount of money on can expect more.
Love the setting and convenience, the cordia fruits decorating the bushes, the variety of plants, the flowers, the bar area, pool area, the winding paths and good wi-fi. The pick up from the airport was a blessing and the porters were good. KIA lodge is a quiet, calming place.
Dark central toilets. The bare earth next to the paths, why?
The shuttle driver ripped me off for $30 for a taxi to Arusha. I will not be staying at this hotel again.
It was close to the airport and they provided a shuttle for $5.00 each way. The grounds were very pleasant. The resturant was ok and they had WiFi in one area. It was a long way from Arusha but close to the airport which was what I wanted.
Staff were excellent.
Internet was not working.
proximity to airport
Convenient, friendly, nice bar
close to the airport
few choices in the resto
Location great, next to Kilimanjaro Airport. Staff friendly and helpful, packed breakfast for us, and arranged free transport to airport for our 6 am departure. Nicely landscaped, great views of Mt Kilimanjaro.
The location is ideal for being close to KIA airport. The employees were very pleasant.
It is a very basic lodge. No hair dryer provided in the room. Shower pressure poor. Immediately advised we would have to pay 4% supplementary charge for paying by credit card.
The friendliness of the staff. The beautiful garden.
The rooms don't have bars on the windows. OK there are security guards patrolling the garden but it would feel more safe to leave the luggage in a room which is more burglar-proof.
It's a beautiful place. The pool is very nice, and the staff is friendly. I also appreciated the free shuttle to/from the airport.
I chose to stay at KIA Lodge because of it's proximity to the airport. I flew from Zanzibar in the evening, and then I flew home the next day. I thought it made more sense to stay close to the airport vs. taking a taxi into Moshi. I was wrong. It would have been cheaper to get a taxi and a less expensive hostel in Moshi. $3 for a beer in Africa! Ridiculous. It looked like Africa, but it didn't feel like Africa. It's a good idea - lodging very near the airport - since Arusha/Moshi take some time to reach, but I'd prefer a place that's more economical. I think many of us who choose to NOT go into Arusha/Moshi before/after a flight do so to drive to save money. This place is not the place to do that.
