Score from 80 reviews Very good
It is an excellent place for a relaxing holiday. The food was great, the people very very nice and we really enjoyed our stay.
Tranquility and privacy of the place Not too crowded In the middle of nature, lots of flowers Beautiful white sandy beach nicely laid out and set up Good size infinity pool Rooms are spacious and well designed Nice beach bar and terrasse to watch beautiful sunset Wine tasting before meals is a nice classy touch, brings people together and sets the mood for a nice evening Local staff is friendly and eager to help
At times weather got very windy, I guess was unlucky Would have liked more local food When tide is really low, difficult to swim
Food Beach Accommodation
Road in Very rough
One of the most picturesque places we have ever visited. Staff were friendly, food was good - absolutely fantastic trip. It was really quiet, which was great for us. For those needing a nice relaxing holiday, we couldn't recommend it more!
+staff was excellent, very helpfull, even sometimes too much service minded, couldnt carry my plate from buffet to table:) +room, pool, beach everywhere is very very clean +food was excellent, king fish and prawn was my favourite
- location is a bit far from Stone Town and airport which makes the transfer and daily tours a bit more expensive than usual
Great vacation at Konokono.
Very well appointed, great beach, fantastic sand, charming location, quiet and secluded (in spite of the coast being otherwise a succession of cheaper resorts), good quality food, huge rooms, very friendly staff, good management
At the price, more could be done with the food (especially given the quality of ingredients). Internet coverage (only in the common areas) rather poor (but like elsewhere in Zanzibar)
Really liked the understated beauty and charm. We wanted to relax and unwind... thats what we got and much more
Overpriced excursions. Local staff always requesting money.
The rooms are great. Clean, spacious, comfortable, good air con system. The food is fantastic. Fresh fish, lean tender beef, fresh fruit...something for everyone. The view from the restaurant over the beach, breath taking. Good Staff. We felt very well looked after. The beach and loungers. Not crowded, lots of personal space. Amazing sunsets!
The remote location of the resort meant it was peaceful but also you had a long drive to all day trip destinations and no access to shops or banks. (bring what you need and it's not such a problem) European prices. (you pay well for the luxury!)
- We were only 10 guests and had a very quiet and relaxed time (there was way more staff than guests) - Amazing beach - Very attentive staff - Small surprises like fruits they bring you to the beach - Huge rooms - Perfect for a honeymoon or a holiday where you want to relax
- Food was average especially conisdering how much you pay for the resort - Tours offered by hotel very expensive - way better to organise yourself via village Michamvi >> ask for Mr Mussa who speaks English very well and can arrange any kind of tour
The wonderfull staff + Management The beautiful villa + Swimming Pool It was a real heaven on earth
The room , pool beach and service
The wine was not as extensive as hoped
Very helpfull staff.
There should be a proper road to the resort. You almost needed a 4*4.
