Amazing property, very helpful staff and the manager is so kind and helpful. Thank you so much for the early check in and upgrade. The front desk helped in arranging our tours in a very short notice and efficiently. I will not think twice for booking this hotel again...
Stairs are a bit of an issue for elder people. If any, maybe more options in the menu for lunch and dinner.
Getting woken by the call to prayer from the mosque at 5am!
Good location near the city
Difficult to find as no signpost on main road.
Location was fantastic! And we were given a room to shower in since our flight was late--couldn't ask for better hospitality! We wouldn't stay anywhere else!
Fantastic hotel in Stone Town, very unique experience with beautiful high ceilings just like the old palace that was there previously. Great staff, lovely food and our room was very comfortable. I couldn't ask for anything better
Marvellous place within the old Oman Sultan complex. Quite since this was out of the season (no drink on the terrace Friday evening). Fantastic breakfast and very tasty lunch.
The hospitality of the staff, the theme, it's in a good location for walking around town.
nothing to mention, it was very smooth
Very good atmosphere, friendly staff and a good location in historic Stone Town. Excellent renovation of old sultan palace
Everything! Beautiful setting, lovely staff, amazing building
Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff.
Breakfast gets a bit tiresome after the first morning.
A beautifully restored old house full of character, in a great location - once you find it... The staff were absolutely superb and the manager personally made sure our stay was going well. Breakfast is cooked the way you like it in their rooftop restaurant overlooking the bay. The food in the evening was delicious - a bit expensive compared to some of the other local restaurants, but worth it!
Like many hotels in this region, the beds were uncomfortably firm. Seemed a little cheap considering the obvious effort that had made everything else perfect.
Not all hotels are created equal. Mashariki is above the rest. Don't know where to start the praise. Great staff, welcoming, with humor, great palace with an exquisite Italian-Arab twist, great manager, superb view... On and on., And everything works - from hot water to internet and delicious breakfast. Across from night market in Stonetown, next to Palace of Wonders and within walking distance of ferry.
Honestly? That I only booked one night and not more.
An exceptional renovation of a period building. High quality design. Attentive staff.
Air conditioning should restricted to some rooms and open air venting with quality fans in other rooms. It seems pointless to be at the sea side where warm breezes can cool the air but a/c minimizes the quality of air. food is definitely over-priced
Hotel room is very comfortable. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and the manager´s involvement makes you fell very special. Breakfast is very good, cooked as you want.
