there was no beach right by the hotel, even though the pictures online said it would be. this was very disappointing. also, when I needed to stay an extra night and said I could sleep in my friends apartment, the staff was difficult about the money I should pay just because the room had a sea view instead of a garden view. Me staying in my friends apartment would either way only mean an extra income for the hotel, so I think the rules could have been a bit more flexible.

It is exotic place, the hotel has large apartments with seaview and hammocks on the balcony. Very quiet.

Well, what to start with? 1. Rooms. They were not clean, they don't clean up the rooms and bring new towels regularly. Even if they do, the towels always have spots on them. Safe box was not working. 2. Food. It is really awful. It has no taste, no any variety of meals, flyes are everywhere on your food, and the smell from the kitchen... It was like someone has dead in there long time ago. We had to go for lunches and dinners to Double Tree or Essque Zalu - they are much better (though nodoby has returned our money for halfboard meals ))) 3. Beach. It is absolutely impossible to swim there - the ocean bottom is rocky and there is a lot of grass there. Again, you have to go to Double Tree or somewhere else for a nice beach. 4. Alcohol is being stored in wrong conditions (outside without fridge) - I have been poisoned after drinking wine. 5. Excursions. They might be safer than buying the tour outside the hotel but definitely more expensive.

At our last day when we went to swim despite we lock our room, somebody came into our room ama stole my accesories, bag, and hair straightiner and nobody help me to get it back. In my opinion this otel is not safe to keep personal belongings with you i'm so disconcerted

This is a nice quiet resort with beautiful views and excellent snorkeling trips. A prefect place to unwind and spend some serious down-time.

Food was only OK for such a nice place. Apparently the beach comes and goes with the seasons. We had no sand out front in March.

I am not sure where to start. There is no beach but only rocky seagrass where swimming is not really possible. The food is tasteless, no seasoning or spices, and not a big variety. Wifi was not working for the last 4 days.

The pool area is amazing and we absolutely loved all the hammocks and lounge chairs everywhere on the resort both in the sun and shade. The breakfasts were very good. It's buffet style with coffee, tea, juices, fresh fruits, fresh baked bread, eggs to order, potatoes, sausages, crepes.

The room is barely bigger then the bed inside it. The bed is pressed against the wall and you have to jump over your partner to get in/out. With 2 bags on the floor there's no room to more around. The bathroom is also very small. The people coming in/out of the rooms to clean/change towels know very little english and came across as rude a few times but i'd chalk that up to a language barrier The dinners here are terrible. our breakfasts and dinners were included with our booking. The dinner included the choice of soup/salad, choice of 3 entrees, and a buffet style dessert. It was absolutely terrible every dinner - probably the worst food I have EVER had. the one night I didn't even eat because it was that gross.

* the natural and cosy style of the rooms, the cleanliness, the surroundings, the rich beautiful garden where the cottages are located. *The friendliness of staff, them being ready to help you all the time * the location of the cottages being close to local people, the fisherman's village, so that you could see the culture if you wanted

* the ups and downs in the richness of food - the swahili night was perfect in food choices - after that the following night the food was scarce, compared to that. * the amount of the deserts was not enough for the guests at some nights, the amount and the choices of deserts can be improved for sure. * the rooms are a bit small, the twin bed room is impossible to move in.

Khamis Khamis Khamis is the best.

Suggestion for other guest: Pay attention for the room that you booked

Beautiful relaxing venue - food was O.K. - fairly child friendly.

Some of the front desk and bar staff needs assistance on customer service. We were actually chased down on the beach by a bar staff member because he 'made a mistake' on the bill and we owed him 5000 tsh - when we said we would pay the front desk he got nervous and told us to forget it. Guests should be shielded from harassment by the excursion staff, who seem to try and force guests onto excursion.

The food was a bit average - especiallly the dinners!

The staff were very nice and helpful. This resort is not excellent but it is quite worth for the money we paid.

I like the location - away from the main part of Nungwi and up on a cliff. The view is gorgeous, the pool area is nice. The bathroom in the room was great- hot water and good water pressure.

Low tide is longer there than the rest of Nungwi so you can't swim for more of the day. I missed dinner on half board and asked for lunch instead but they dismissed this as impossible - I think they should have been more accommodating, though admittedly I did not ask beforehand. The garden room I stayed in was really small - the bed took up the whole room practically.

Yarım pansiyon olarak kaldığımız otelde içecek ücretleri bölge koşullarına göre oldukça yüksek. Otelin kendine ait plajı bulunmamaktadır. Gittiğimiz dönem ölü sezon olduğu için yemek çeşitliliği açısından sıkıntı çektik.

территория отеля чистая и зелёная. отличный бассейн глубиной до 2м. хорошая кухня- европейская и местная. отель тихий, для спокойного отдыха. прекрасный морской пейзаж. при высокой воде можно купаться прямо у отеля. отличный сервис. очень дружелюбный англоговорящий персонал. уютное и место.

март, апрель, май-сезон дождей, нужно учитывать. песчаного пляжа непосредственно у отеля нет, берег и дно -эродированный коралл: на песчаный пляж нужно идти к маяку, в бухту нунгви - минут 10 пешком. отлив очень сильный (при низкой воде идти метров 150-200 до глубины 1м, дно каменистое, местами морские ежи). в сутки 2 высоких и 2 низких воды, интервал 6 часов. время максимума и минимума прилива/отлива смещается ежесуточно- сообразно фазам луны. цены на воду и пиво в отеле высоки (втрое-вчетверо дороже городских). в деревне нунгви невозможно поменять валюту. магазины в деревне крайне скудные. в standard cottage нет тв, в отеле 2-5 раз в сутки ненадолго отключают электричество.

Reparaturen fallen an, viel Stromausfall, Klimaanlagen sind zum Teil kaputt, Essen zu eintönig, Keine Seife im Restaurant-WC, keine Konfitüre, kein Joghurt, keine kalte Milch, Personal macht nur das Minimum, Alles ist überrissen teuer. fehlender Strand, sehr viele Seeigel, schlechte Tourenanbieter am Strand.

Het eten is niet geweldig maar nu zijn wij ook wel erg kritisch denk ik.

Le staff : On leur pose des questions sur les environs ou comment aller à Nungwi, faire la côte Est ou bien juste boire un coca-cola, ils sourient ( heureusement qu'il y a ça ), ils répondent et puis se moquent de nous ouvertement mais en Swahili ce qui est irrespectueux. On a payé pour 7 jours et franchement si on pouvait changer d'hotel on le ferait sans hésiter. La qualité du séjour se dégradent au fur et à mesure, du temps qu'on reste. (Plus de miroir dans la chambre, Plus qu'une serviette pour 2, puis après peut-etre plus de climatisation !) a l'heure actuelle, je vous écris directement de la chambre d'hotel. Il nous reste 2 jours. Je conseille fortement de prendre des hotels qui sont à Nungwi même. On a passé beaucoup de temps justement à Nungwi, déjeuner et dîner souvent dans les restos-hôtel dont les prestations sont triplement meilleures que l'hotel de Mnarani Beach cottages.

Dålig strand.Om vi ville bada så gick vi runt udden till västra sidan. Det var en mycket trevlig promenad men nästan nödvändigVi bodde i garden bungalow som var prisvärt men alldeles för litet

Bei booking.com stand, dass das Hotel einen Transport vom Flughafen zum Hotel anbietet. Im Feld "Bemerkungen" bei booking.com haben wir geschrieben, dass wir gerne diesen Transfer in Anspruch nehmen würden. Booking.com hat diese Information jedoch nie an Mnarani Beach Cottages weitergeleitet. Das behauptete zumindest die Person am Empfang im Hotel, als wir fragten, wieso niemand am Flughafen war. Beim Angebot sollte stehen, dass z.B. dieser Transfer mind. 48h im Voraus gebucht werden soll, um ihn garantieren zu können! Wir mussten daher ein Flughafentaxi nehmen und wurden beim Preis mit Grosser Wahrscheinlichkeit übers Ohr gehauen.
