Staff were friendly, accommodating and participating Misrepresentations: impression created of 3 restaurants yet there is only one kitchen. A-la-carte menu was poorly catered for.

The staff was very friendly and non-intrusive. The facilities were very good too. The lights in the room were too dim. It would be nice to have at least one reading light by the bed.

The pool and the food. The beach is not at the hotel. You need to take a shuttlebus to it. The tide makes it difficult to just jump into the water. You need to walk 400m.

Very good accomodations. Gorgeous view of the water. Nice and friendly staff. Very limited food. They did not have enough food for the guests. Sometimes poor internet connectivity, limited to the reservation desk area. They say wifi available in public places and that is not true. Very far from stonetown, thus to get a taxi/shuttle to go to the city and back will cost about $100us.

The rooms are beautiful and clean and the cleaning staff come and trhoughly clean every day and help even if you need something small. We took two trips through paradise. One being the snorkling trip which I highly reccommend and the other being the stone town tour where they provide you with tour guides and drivers. One person that stood out to us was a young man of 20 years old who works there (I have stupidly forgotten his name), he is funny, kind and caring and the way he interacts and organizes things for everyone is above and beyond, a special thank you to him! The resort also holds local activites and shows each night which was a gret idea and also gave you the prefect idland local feeling. Eight of us stayed here for five nights we had four double rooms. Many of the staff were very lovely and helpful when needed where as some made me feel uncomfortable byy speaking in their own lanaguage and laughing to each other half way through my convertsaion with them. The food in the buffet was okay, we went else where for food majority of the time. The beach at the hotel is not swimable and raely lookable but the resort does offter bikes so you can bike for five minutes down to another becach which is beautiful. When booking the snorkling trip in advance for eight of us the morning of thr trip only seven could turn up due to one of us falling very ill. I diid not appreciate the fact that they made us pay the entire fee for the sick person and made us feel like it was our fault for thme not turning up for the tour. The swimming pool is great, clean. The gym you have to pay for which I found weird for a resort and there is no room service so food timing is difficult.

It was a relaxing place to stay and the staff were helpful The night time entertainment was a nice touch There was no hot water at all for showers. The food was all inclusive but very average. The al la carte menu was what we ordered which was better than the buffet. There was no after hours food available to order

We stayed at the hotel after our trip to Kilimanjaro summit for relaxing. The resort was vey nice for this purpose. The rooms were fine and clean, the staff was helpful and friendly. The food (buffet) in the main restaurant is absolutely tasteless. The food is more or less the same every day (with optical or textual variations), it is absolutely without any taste (you wouldn't imagine that you are in Africa with spices available everywhere). So don't go there for the food.

The Swimming Pool Paradise Beach Resort accomodation leaves a lot to be desired water puddled in the bathroom while using shower and hand basin. The rooms smelt mouldy, the bedding even though changed daily felt damp and dirty, they should invest in cotton. It was the most uncomfortable accomdodation I ever stayed in, besides swimming not much else to do, even though the beach is nearby it would have been excellent if the resort had it's own beach initially this is what we thought when we booked, the lack of english speaking staff and terrible food just finished things for us, Zanzibar is an overrated, dirty, poor and very overpriced destination.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, the food was amazing and the quality of things and they way they handle their schedule is excellent. I didnt like the beach at all. In short, they are is no beach in that, i booked the hotel because of the beach and it turn out to be a great disappointment. They try to make it up by taking us to a second beach that they have but why putting the great picture of the beach while there isnt one, only a beach full of trash and waste all over? I didnt like it at all!

Enjoyed the sea breezes. We did not like the way the management treated us. The resort was obviously overbooked. We were told that they had a medical emergency in our room until 1am, then we could move in. We could stay at a "sister" hotel close by to relax and shower. No hot water and very little water pressure. So much for relaxing! When on site, we explored the resort. We discover and talked with a pleasant family sitting in our "so called" room. So much for a medical emergency. The family had a 4am flight and needed a place to stay. Manager/owner directly lied to us. He either wanted to make more money for the double booking, impress the the previous tenant with his management skills, or really did not know how to handle the situation. He actually threatened to not let us stay there (on New Year's Eve). He truly needs lessons in crisis management. In fairness, he did comp our New Year's gala event with a "cheap" bottle of Brut. Still it was not enough to make us feel welcome. Oh! Did I say we had confirmed reservation that we made in June 2012.

We liked the place of the hotel close to sea, it was very nice Our climatisor caught on fire, Two rooms of the hotels were full of smoke but they did nothing, they have no fire procedure, the first thing they did, was to paint the wall due to the fire.Bad management and bad services. We booked for a premium villa and in fact we had for the same price a luxury one.the stole us.

The management is totally disorganized! Although booked more than a month in advance they were not prepared for our arrival. They send us a 4 seater to airport for a family of five. When arriving at the hotel at 5 am it was closed, only after 15 minutes someone answered the door. Although well advised beforehand, they had no premium room prepared for us. My children had to sleep with three on two undersized single beds that had no bed linen on them. The room smelled like it wasn't used for weeks! No water in the room and not available at that time. On top of it all we were charged a full night accommodation for that night, while we went to bed at 6 am! The next day the extra bed finally arrived and the two single bed were made so my children finally could sleep properly. We unpacked our suitcases, but once done we were informed we had to switch rooms? We stayed there 5 nights and it this saga continues for a few pages, ending with the fact that when we returned after a safari we booked through the hotel, they had no room for us and we had to spend the night on the beds and hammocks around the swimming pool! Never again!

I loved the staff. Jackabo and the Masai guys (hey buddy, it's joseph) The food was great, bar staff great, restaurant staff great Facilities were great Josepe... The taxi guy. Not good. He is exactly what western people DO NOT LIKE about Tanzania and Zanzibar. He's hustles and scams you out of money. The hotel did not do that. And it was great. Not a single person acted like that at Paradise. Then you go to leave and the last feeling you get is this guy taking your money on some taxi ride. Why would you do that as Paradise? A person just spent $500-$1000 and you're going to let him upset your customers for $10. It's not good business sense. Get rid of him now. Or you give GOOD taxi rates and let people feel good about their last moments. Give a great rate and you'll probably get it back in tip. I'm upset that my last experience from a great week was negotiating and dealing with this guy and some mzungu price that i know is greedy and unfair. Unbelievable!!

Wonderful staff! Great position with fabulous pool, bar and sandy area with loungers etc.. Excellent variety of tours on offer. It was a bit disappointing to find out that one had to pay to use the gym equipment and sauna - no-one seemed to make use of it for that reason. Maybe the website should indicate that information.
