There were stains on my bedsheets when I arrived and I was asked to transfer to another room. The hotel should have more lights in the corridors. It's dark and gloomy.
Wery helpfull staff!
The bed was really hard, but for a short night before a morning flight it was OK.
Very helpful staff. Comfortable, well-equipped, spotlessly clean rooms Varied breakfast buffet Good wifi Very good value for money
Slightly chaotic street scene outside hotel entrance - not a problem and no difficulty in getting a taxi
Spacious room and comfy bed. Very clean.
Gym is only open to women from 8:30-4:30 so if you're a female "executive" with things to do in the day other than languishing at the hotel, you can't use the gym. I had booked this hotel in part because it offered a gym and was disappointed by this. The generator made a loud, annoying noise all night and in the middle of the night the AC unit over my headboard started dropping a pretty significant amount of water all over my pillow.
3 minute walk from the ferry port Very helpful staff, they prepared a breakfast box at no chargefor us as we were leaving at 2.30am to catch a plane to the airport. Cheap and high quality restaurant Balcony with good views of the city.
Aircon was noisy
Reception staff very friendly and helpful.the bell boy on duty in the morning of 9/2/15 fast, good and cheerful.
Variety of Food/menu Too limited. The tv reception was terrible. When I called I was promised someone will come to fix but zero.2x I called.
Clean, large good location
The availability and speed of the Wifi
Got an excellent deal and given the location right in the center of town, I definitely recommend it. My room was quite comfortable and had good AC, and the cafe was very reasonably-priced and had a decent selection. Friendly and helpful staff.
Room had some sort of light that wouldn't turn off and the wi-fi was sometimes spotty.
Hotel managemend by Indian management who seemed more interested in charging hotel guests on arrival than in maintaining the rooms and facilities. used cheep material when build and for a two year old hotel it looks quiet run down. Breakfast is also not good for this price. Due to my travels in many developing countries I would guess that this hotel might be part of a money laundry system... But thats only a guess....
The room was massive - very good space if you have a lot of luggage. Breakfast buffet was excellent with a variety of options. The location was in close proximity to the ferry port.
The bathroom could be updated. If you are in need of making it to the airport, consider traffic conditions. While the hotel does not seem too far from the airport, street traffic in Dar can pose major challenges.
Nice comfortable room
Hotel is located in very busy area of downtown Dar es Salaam. No alcohol allowed in the hotel
great location, A/C worked very well (which was not the case at any other hotel we stayed at in Tanzania), very nice rooms, clean, comfortable, accommodating staff always willing to help, excellent restaurant. We went back and ate at the restaurant later on in our trip even though we weren't staying there any longer!
Nothing, the place is amazing, albeit a bit pricy.
Perfect for a day stopover before leaving for a flight. Welcome drink and cold cloth very welcome after getting off the Zanzibar ferry (and nearby). All staff very helpful. Even basic studio had everything we wanted - a/c (v.good), fan, fridge, kettle with coffee etc, microwave toaster etc. Large modern shower plus lots of toiletries. Wake up call at 2am One of the best value places we stayed in our month in Tanzania etc etc
Cost of transfer to airport ($25)
Perfect for business travellers to Dar es Salam as it is located in the centre of town - close to the town centre. The rooms are spacious and clean. So are the toilets. They even provide iMacs in the reception area with High speed internet so you can keep in touch with the virtual world. The buffet breakfast offers a decent spread. The staff are eager to help and are well trained. All in all, a perfect place for those looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay while on a business trip to Dar.
Friendly staff, helped out arranging transfer etc. No extra charge for paying with visa card which is common in Tanzania. Stayed one night only, spent 2-3 hours walking around in Dar which is absolutely sufficient.
Only sweet juices at breakfast, one has to pay for water at the buffet (!!!)
Everything was excellent
Great hotel in the downtown of Dar, do not go for a cheaper accommodation unless you want to be treated bad or have bugs in your room. Excellent staff.
The gym, sauna and a hot tub are only to be used with a separate schedule for women and men which basically means that couples and families cannot enjoy the recreation facilities.
Good and comfortable hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Very extensive breakfast, good food.
very helpful people
thing are too over price. It not the same rate as local
Proximity to Zanzibar Ferry
Difficult to find
The room and bathroom was clean
The food quality was poor. When asking for a beer I was told hat they are a Muslim Hotel with a strict no alcohol policy. When asking whether I could extend the stay two hours beyond the Standard check out time they wanted USD 50 and the Hotel was not full. There was no Suite but a normal room. There was no kitchenet but toaster, water boiler etc placed on a side board.
This is a good property. But the management must address the negative issues.
It is somewhat over priced. The wifi is weak and on/off. The kitchen for the 2 bedroom apartments is not upto the standard of a self catered facility. The TV signal keeps breaking down frequently. Very irritating was the fact that at checkout the staff threatened to charge my card US$ 10 for the plastic key which I told them was in the room. I had to go back to the room, get it and hand it to him!
Clean rooms, modern. Comfortable dining services
Location, you can wake up as early as 4am due to surrounding buildings making noise. Not comfortable walking outside, not in a great part of town
