Love this place! So much atmosphere. It is rough around the edges in all the good ways - like being transported back in time to the pre-war days. Really magnificent. Huge rooms, great staff, best location and wonderful breakfast. Will go back and stay here!
Location, very friendly staff. Hotel is a sight of it's own, has history written all over. Short walk to all important sights, Old Town and Opera nearby. Good breakfast
Unreliable, almost unusable wifi connection. But with almost every café/restaurant in town offering wifi, this wasn't really a problem
toilet was little far from room and common bathroom
Location and the reception staff Rooms are large enough(my room was superior)
Wi fi terrible Room door insulation very low, please ask double door rooms specially if you will sleep day time. Breakfast as normal for all Ukraine hotels very week But, thanks to reception girls, when i told my complains, they offered to change my room.
Breakfast is good. Reception is fine security ok internet ol
The George Hotel is an elegant but old hotel but with a new owner it's not the hotel I remember. Still it's got a great location and the staff are pretty good. That said, the new owner, to maximize his revenues has cut back a bit on breakfast which is included and rented the former breakfast dining area to a pizza restaurant.
The hotel really needs work - my floor was uneven and I thought I might fall through to the next floor. They need to put in a new subfloor / floor and carpeting
My favorite place in Lvov. Very friendly people and excellent location
good location, nice bed
The location is just excellent and staff is friendly.
The hotel needs renovation.
It was very central hotel. Staff was good
Very basic room
Friendly and helpful English-speaking staff. Great location, close to everywhere. Spacious room with high ceiling. Small balcony with nice view.
Extremely noisy floor. The carpeting seems to be simply laid over the very old parquet floor. If you are alone in the room it won't be a huge problem. But when you are two, it's too annoying.
An imposing hotel in a super position right in the centre of Lviv. Very acceptable restaurant with a range of dishes and some classic Ukrainian offerings.
The Hotel George is in a great location, right in the edge if the Old Town and a few minutes to the Opera House. If you arrive late and don't feel like finding a restaurant, the hotel restaurant is a great option, with excellent food at excellent prices. If you are on a budget, a room with a shared bathroom is a good option, they are extremely clean.
great breakfast; excellent service
a bit noisy shared bathroom busy at morning peak hours
Nice staff at the reception, we were given a better room than we had booked for the same price; central location.
It took us more than 10 min to get our luggage from the luggage room (because the portier was absent), as a result we missed the tram and had to take a taxi to the railway station.

the room is very big in this historical hotel. the location is great. I learnt that the famous writer Balzac has stayed here :) I stayed at the hotel only for 1 night. But because my flight canceled to the next day, I couldn't stay for my reservation dates. When I asked the hotel staff to change my reservation dates, they changed my dates easily. I didn't pay any extra money for the late change. Thank them for their help and understanding.
the wood floor is noisy.
Good location. I stayed in a room that shares wc and bath. According to shared bath, it was very clean. Staff checks shared places in half-hour periods.
Service is excellent Comes with a breakfast that would be the envy of any hotel in Europe. Most of the rooms are huge, have 15 foot ceilings, comfy beds, right downtown.
Hotel is located very close to the centre and the most important attractions of Lviv. Breakfast was delicious and generous. If you want to spend a few nights in Lviv don't hesitate to choose this place!
Small beds in rooms.

Lots of fin-de-siecle-atmosphere in a cautiously restored old hotel oozing of history. Great location at a square right next to the old city. Fine breakfeast. All in all a great place to stay. Try it, before some of the international hotel chains buy it and destroys its charm.
Noting really. Traffic noise in the rooms facing the square - but then you can ask for a room facing the smaller Shevtchenko Street (and miss the view over the square).

Good room and location, reception staff helpful.
There is no bar to socialise. The biggest problem is the internet, the service is poor, you cannot open Google pages or send emails. I have stayed at the Hotel 3 times and made the Hotel Management aware to no avail. If you stay at Hotel Opera, you have a full email and search engine service. Keith, Dublin, August 2014
