Staff - excellent service. Very friendly and helpful. Liked the hotel - decor and overall impression was favourable. Bedroom was to our satisfaciton - really enjoyed our stay here.

Nothing of distinction - some of the decor in public areas (eg. breakfast room on 1st floor) are showing signs of age - but that lends to its character!

Lviv is a splendid city. The George is an historic monument in the heart of the town. Go now, to the George, before the developers arrive.

This hotel is located right in centre of Lviv city! Great location! Hotel is beautiful. Nice interior. The staff was very friendly. I got a cheap room, without bathroom or toilet inside, but room itself was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The breakfast has been included as well. It was served very well, with a great variety of dishes offered. For $40 usd I paid for myself and my son to stay at the hotel, it was a great value!!! I'm really satisfied with this hotel. Highly recommend!

The only disadvantage was that my room didn't include a toilet and a bathroom, however, once again, for just $40 a night, this is quite acceptable!

This is an excellent hotel for those who enjoy a sense of the history. The building itself is beautiful and location is great. I am sure that some day it would be turned into a five star luxurious chain hotel. So enjoy this place while it is still cheap. Breakfast is basic, staff is helpful and accommodating, sheets are clean and towels are large. Unless you expect too much you would really like it there. For 630 grivnas i consider it a bargain.

Security guard tried to hint that I should pay for parking, but he did not sound too convincing.

Great history. Wonderful, English speaking staff. I had strange travel times, but the staff was wonderful about holding my bags. The location was perfect.

Very friendly, helpful and knowledgable staff, who provided excellent and timely service. The hotel is well located in the downtown area of the city, close to great shops, restaurants, cafes and tourist sites. The rooms are large and very clean. The hotel is grand and full of history. The buffet breakfast is plentiful with good selection, and offered over several hours to accomodate both early and late guests.

Some of the bathrooms are outdated and in need of renovation, but the hotel is attending to this.

Location is good, breakfast is ok. nice ancient building. Staff is friendly and willing to help.

It is an old clasic hotel. It is contuniosly renovated. In pervect location in the centre of the city some of the old clasic rooms now have showers and i could recomend them for Family and Business som rooms are as they wher 100 years ago or so and butget friently

Staff was very friendly and helpful, we got a very big room even though we booked a standard. Had no problems using the shared bathroom/shower. Location was great, 5 minutes walk to the old city center. Breakfast was good. We got to leave our luggage early before check in and also leave it after check in. Would definitely stay again

They should renovate the shared bathrooms, it was fine but the water pressure is low and since there is only one bathroom per floor and they are in bad shape it wouldn't cost too much....

Very friendly staff;English-speaking receptionist;good location to city centre sites/restuarants. The decore of hotel is very oldie-worldie and very charming and comfortable,with a lift for elderly disabled guest. The receptionist are really geared up for tourism now-thanks in part to this summers European football-and first thing they do is provide you with a street map of Lviv.The quality of this hotel,is of good value for money that in Western Europe,you would expect to pay at least,double.The breakfast is of good value(buffet)and a good choice of foods.The hotel restaurant,reflexs it`s decore from an Imperial past,but with modern facilities ie: wifi and English -speaking T.v channels.The outside of the building is undergoing restoration,but who lives and stays outside a building?this will be completed in due course.Give this place a chance and enjoy the stairways and interior decore.

The only thing,the rooms are extremely big,you would have room for an ensuite facility.The idea of walking down a corridor for wc and bathroom is not appealing.However,let`s relect the price of a nights stay here? Even adding an extra charge for ensuite would still be cheaper than many hotels of similair proportion in western Europe.Please,St George,develop ensuite rooms.
