It's neat, it's only 5 minutes ride from Boryspil International Airport, there's a transfer to the airport at a time you choose.
Basement hostel room was a bit cold when I was there (March 2014), the air inside felt moist. Maybe because there was rain at the time.
The staff was super helpful. Located very close to Boryspol airport and they have a taxi that can be pre-arranged. They have a 24hr restaurant. They accept Euros and answer their emails promptly. Loved them. Oh, another thing is they have individual rooms and hostel rooms and free wi-fi.
Very clean and good location for travel.
I had a flight in the early morning out of iev. Korona hotel was just 5 km away, and they had a private set of shuttles running around the clock, both to the airport and into Downtwn Kyiv at a fraction of the local cost and taxi services. Very friendly staff that and front desk service greeted me and my entourage of bags. I was informed of the spa and massage services to the relief of my back. I had just traveled a few hundred km just to get to Borispl Arprt for my flight to Moscow. I was surprised to find such a clean, newly constructed, competitively priced hotl with such friendly staff, a business center, free WiFi and two workstations, a on site masseuse, and restaurant and bar with Large Flat Screen Tv, open 24 hours! For the proximity to airport and price per night, I couldn't find a better value than the Korona Hotel. There was a supermarket and pharmacy just behind the hotel and a shuttle that would drop one off at the metro which I rode into the heart of Kiev for one last night of sightseeing and memories. The shuttle was 70 hvrenias to the metro 80 to the airport, and 250 to the center of town in a private car. Way cheaper than a taxi.
There was an annoying house fly that got in my room. It drove me insane while I tried to rest. I got up and went to the concierge andxplained my dire predicament. They contacted housekeeping and sent them on a mission to my room. The front desk staff entertained me while Housekeeping took Cate of my problem. Withing five minutes my room was my own, Mission Accomplished! I took my nap and then took their shuttle to the metro. I then rode that underground and enjoyed my last night out in scenic downtown Kiev before I flew on to Moscow and then home to ny.
