Price - maybe - but being a business traveller, I'd rather cough up a 150 eur per day tag than stay there.
1) Paper thin walls. My neighbour used "escort" services, so moans and phrases i.e. "ai laik" will become your bed time lullaby 2) Poor breakfast 3) Located "in the middle of nowhere" 4) Cold
I only stayed there for one night and had a flight the next morning. Staff was super helpful, rooms were clean and tidy with complimentary water. Breakfast was ready for me in the morning and the hotel minibus took me to Boryspil airport. Perfect service - would definitely stay there again.
They arranged a trip from the airport to the hotel. It was cheaper then any taxi.
- Hotel gives free shuttle one way to/from Boryspil Airport - Receptionist was very pleasant - Not expensive
- Smell of cigarette smoke in the room - Old shower drain - Location is not the most picturesque place
The restaurant, the staff, location, free airport transfers
A bit noise
- free transfer from and to the airport - nice staff, kept the restaurant open longer just for us - staff speaks well couple of foreign languages
Great location, quality and excellent customer service.
Receptionist was excellent and very helpful. The free transfer to the airport is also great. Location.
Flies in the room
I loved the on-site restaurant, the food was delicious and the waitresses wore traditional clothing. It felt like being in a Jan Brett picture book. The front desk staff speak English, but otherwise you have to motion your way through, or point to what you want on the menu. Everyone was patient and kind with me, which was nice! I was just here for a layover so I liked the closeness to the airpprt, and the shuttle of course.
I escaped from this hotel after close encounter with three cockroaches. This within an hour. First time for me to hit the cockroaches. They have a disgusting smell. I killed two and a third tried to crawl into my bag. Then I decided to escape from the hotel.
At first, it seems the hotel is part of an industrial area. But once at the hotel, everything is enjoyable. The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful. Shuttle service to and from the airport. And there is a fantastic Ukrainian restaurant next door!
STAFF VERY GOOD. RESTAURANTS ON LOCATION VERY GOOD.
IF ON LONG LAYOVER.....MARKETS ARE QUITE AWAY AWAY, MUCH WALKING (IN RESIDENTIAL AREA).....Kiev too far to visit even on one day layover
Qiet, perfect location, safe
Felt like we were in a little village, surrounded by sunflowers and quaint gardens. The onsite restaurant was excellent. Staff attention was excellent. Shuttle at 4 am was prompt, courteous and efficient.
Hard to locate when driving down main drag away from airport.
Nice hotel. Single room was size of a double. Clean, towels, toiletries etc. Leisure facilities looked good and restaurants were good.
No outside phone line! No call boxes anywhere near! Right in the middle of a housing estate. No English channels on TV and staff spoke little or no English.
Close to the airport, quick shuttle service, english speaking staff.
Internet is too slow. They have tried to make it better by installing routers throughout the hotel but that doesn't help when they are subscribed to a subpar speed (the cheap one). On speedtest.net it registered at around 2 MB download speed which is difficult to do a Skype call on if you're conducting business. In my case I was trying to stream a seminar video and it wasn't able to stream properly. Kiev has excellent speeds so if they just spent a bit more money and opted for the higher speed it would be a no brainer hotel to go to if you need to get to Borispol airport early in the morning.
Arranged pick up from Airport at no charge, room large and comfortable
It was very clean and relatively well appointed. The restaurant was pretty good, as was the food. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. The bathroom was nice and the bed was comfortable enough. The furniture in the room was pretty cheap ... but hey, that's what you get for $35 a night. And of course, it was very close to the airport. So I would give it a qualified "Yes" recommendation.
The biggest single complaint that I have about this hotel is that it is located in a pretty run-down section of Borispil and it is almost impossible to find! After looking for over 30 minutes, I actually had to pay a cab driver to drive to the hotel so that I could follow him in my rental car! Otherwise I would have never found it! This hotel really needs to put up some signs to let out-of-towners like me know where it is!!!
a steal for the price, nicely furnished, the staff couldn't be friendlier and more accommodating, the food was good, the short ride to either downtown or the airport was nice, secure and quiet, the hotel looked and gave the feeling of being clean
armed guard at gate, that was creepy; a little hard to find even for local cabbies; like most Ukrainian hotels I stayed in, the bed was a brick
10 minutes from the airport and a free transfer service.
Twin beds rather than the double I requested. Restaurant very poor and not much choice. Better to use the restaurant outside however there was a function on so we could not use it.
The location was fairly good, since I only stayed for one night in between my flights. Room was clean and fine. Bed was comfortable and room was very big. Shuttle service was nice. Hotel feeled safe.
Had a hard time communicating with staff in English. No safety locks on room doors. Hotel restaurant was not very high standard and dishes were way too small to make you satisfied. It was weird not to have prices on menu.
Free shuttle to the airport - a car collected the two of us promptly at 7.30 as requested and the driver took our heavy suitcases right into the airport for us. The gardens are quite pretty.
The fact that you have to pay to use the swimming pool and the appalling breakfast we had. Also the shortage of items on the dinner menu (listed but not available).
Front desk clerks spoke English well and could offer assistance. Room and bed and internet service were all good.
Restaurant within the hotel was not very good. I noticed when guests left that the waitress would simply refold the cloth napkin for the next customer. Shower curtain would drift into you while showering due to inward draft which made showering next to impossible without just leaving it open to drench the floor.
