Nothing. Slavutich was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The prostitutes knocking on our door all hours of the night, their loud music in the corridor, the ineffectual security personnel who did not solve this problem, the rude staff who arranged a 300% mark up on their taxi service, the smoking on a non-smoking floor, and the 1950s bathroom were the main factors of our dislike of the hotel. These are factors that potential customers need to know about before booking here.

Hotel staff is nice, rates are quiet low. Cleaning (I do not think chambermaid ever washed the floor, it seems to me she used vacuum cleaner only for carpets). It's too cold in rooms (we got used to +22 at home.I think in hotel it was +18). Taps in bathroom should be changed - it's not possible to get hot water, we had to use shower tap even to wash hands. I would recommend this hotel for people who are not going to spend all the time at the hotel and need it just to sleep there.

The staff mostly was able to speak english which is not to be taken granted in the Ukraine. The food at the cafe was good. Would have been great if there was internet access inside the rooms or at least in the cafe, not only in the lobby.

The hotel was cheap and staff at the reception was able to speak understandable english The breakfast was disgusting and expensive. Dry bread and aawful coffee were the only eatable things. Cheese was old and the edges were dry and moulded. Ham was about two weeks of age as well. Room was awful. Sealed windows with tape. old beds and the duvet smelled weird. The bathroom was not painted since Lenin died,It was hard to open the closet and there was not enough water to flush. It takes 25 minutes fast walk to metro !!!!!

I stayed on the 11th floor, overlooking the beautiful Dnepro river. My non-smoking room was cosy. The maid cleaned my room and the bathroom every morning. Cleaning maids are trust-worthy, for, nothing was missing. I learnt that lot of Russian celebrities have put up at Slavutich, which, indeed is a mark that the hotel has a good reputation!

Well, they need to at least invest into having possibility to buy internet connection outside of lobby. And the hotel needs some renovation too...

The fact that they accept pets in it and there are restaurants, a market, drugstore and a place to exchange money and a bus stop close to it. The whole hotel needs refurbishment. It looks like a huge old monster. The bathroom (economic rooms) is horrible and staff is not that nice and it's simply far from city center. I reserved a non-smoking room and they put me in a smoking one and I only noticed it my second day there.

The people in the reception was so kind. Especially that kind lady which says everytime ''pajalusto'' when she gives the room key to me) Only for this kind and happy voice, possible to love her) The cleaning service was also regularly doing its job. The room was silent. The location of hotel is far from metro(30 minutes by walk). But midi-buses in front of the hotel go there(5 minutes). There was not hot water two days. And the wi-fi is only in the lobbi section. They had not menu in the rooms. And the the rooms for one person are old.

The staff was relatively helpful. Staying here is like travelling back in time 40 years or so... The photos of the rooms, as bad as they may seem, show them much prettier than they actually are.

The location is the only thing to recommend this hotel. The hotel advertised an airport shuttle that does not exist, which was really the predominat reason for making the booking. Got a room with two single beds, both too short to fit my 6 foot frame. all in all a horrible experience

Clean hotel, excellent and helpful staff, very nice view of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. Good connection to the subway system and one could even walk to the Lavra on the opposite site of the Dnieper river. Use the "Лiвобережна" (Livoberezhna) Metro station to get to the city. For budget travellers it is an excellent value for money.
