I booked the large room with living room as well as bedroom. The reception girls were helpful especially when I needed to borrow an iron. The room was very nicely decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable and I had a great sleep. Price wise it was very good value, I normally stay at Lybid Hotel (small old rooms) Elegant Hotel (more pricey for small rooms) so I would have no hesitation to stay there again. I did not take the breakfast so cannot comment on that. There are some coffee shops nearby, the Aroma one is very good for salads and pastas.
It was not a problem for me as I know my way around this area of Kiev. But if it is your first time you may find getting into the city centre a bit tricky although the area seems very safe. You should use the metro at the train station as your means of getting about.
Location excellent for access to/from train station but not excellent for city centre.
Parking arrangement and unclear what to do as not speaking the language.
-Room very clean and spacious -Dark curtains making sleep comfortable -10 minutes by walk from train station -Good value-for-money
A really good and spacious hotel; extremely nice and friendly staff. This was my second stay there.
The room was very big and comfortable in a quiet neighbourhood only 5 -10 minutes by walk close to the railway station. Staff was friendly and helpful
Only that doing an early check-in was a little bit expensive, more than half of the price for one day. But everything was nice enough to come back again.
Clean, large room, friendly service. Worth the money
Long uphill walk to University metro station. Building seems half-finished though the hotel interior is fine.
Nice, clean. Staff very friendly.
Poor English language knowledge by the staff...
bardzo wygodny pokój
As the place is not easy to find, a hint for visitors: instead of giving a hotel name which taxi drivers not always know, mention "Diplomat Hall". This is a building complex where the hotel is located.
Beyond my expectations! The room exactly looks like photos shown on the website. Staff has lack of understanding English but were helpful on any kind of issue. WiFi works great. 10 minutes walk to Ukraina shopping mall. Cab will cost $5-10 to take you to down town.
Nothing to complain about. All perfect.
Was way better than I was expecting for the price. Only had a twin room and it had a hydrobath (stayed one night, so didn't get chance to use it) Possibly recently done up? Room was a decent size (not small) and had tasteful decor - An impressive "bloody 'ell - that's all right" as I walked in :o) Location was good, short(ish) walk from the Rail Station (Walk out of the station and take 1st road right and keep going) Pizzeria downstairs, so not far to go for food (discovered afterwards you can get to it without going outside and back in)
Very good small hotel near the center of the city. Very nice and clean.
