Well, what can I say... To reach the hotel from the railway station you have to walk, then take one tram, then change to another tram (which operates excatly every 21 minutes) and then know where to get off. But then, this is an ex-Soviet hotel experience not to be missed...but nothing for those that want comfort and style, and definitively nothing for those that are not used to travel in ex-USSR area...
The hotel was rusty and worn-down. There had been a restaurant earlier, but this was now used as a storage-room. The check-in-staff only spoke Russian (!!) but appreciated my broken Slovak-Russian-languagemix which earned me a very-old-style room with a balcony with a depressive view of the town. There was hot water, though, but you have to make the bed for yourself and in the morning I was awakened by two electricians working loudly in the corridor. Travellers who are not used to travel in this part of the world; please avoid this place. Sad to say this because it is good value for money.
