I switched to it after I had awful experience at the other hotel..and St. Giles was great and value of the money..The location was great which is 2 blocks away from Grand Central station and it's not right by the noisy district which is good at the night. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. The servie was great. My room was automatically upgraded due to some schedule conflict. The lobby was nice designed. Only things is no free wifi in the room which was totally fine with me since you can use free wifi in the lobby..I Do recommend this hotel and will stay again for my next visit.

Nice ambience, helpful; friendly staff (particularly the concierge) and bar staff. The only thing that didn't work for us was the size of the bathroom in our junior suite. One assumes that a suite would have a decent sized bathroom but it would be hard to imagine a smaller one.

The beds are to die for, the most comfortable I've ever slept in in a hotel. The rooms are relaxing, stylish, contemporary and functionel - all that I look for in a hotel on a business or leisure trip. The location close to everything, most within walking distance.

The hotel staff were very helpful and accomodating!! We had to make a last minute change and they bent over backwards to make it happen. We were in nyc for the marathon. Great location. Within walking distance to Times Square. Have to say , I had difficulty regulating the temperature. It was hot/dry, even with the window open.

The room (junior suite) was really big, with two separated areas, and a closet. The bed was really big and comfortable. Hotel location is really good, close to Grand Central, well communicated. Staff attends to all requirements. Room was really noisy. Bathroom too small. Wifi in room is not for free.

The junior suite was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I had room 1101, which had windows on three sides: one side looked out onto the Chrysler Building, and the other side onto the Empire State Building. My only beef would be with the fact that they charged $15 per day for internet service. Wireless internet was supposedly available for free in the lobby, but I never was able to connect.

- The location, just next to Grand Central Station - the friendliness of staff at reception desk and even the housekeepers - the king bed and the high quality of the sheets and pillows - the view on the Empire State Building (we were on the 12th floor) - the huge size of the room - the fact that we had an amazing deal with booking.com (we paid only 30% of the normal price !!!) - the free hot cider in the afternoon :) - the great music in the bar - The poor quality of the internet in the lobby (I guess too many people were using it at the same time)

A nice upgrade at check-in so the room was fantastic. Good location and just a couple of short blocks from Grand Central Street noise on the 4th floor was loud but some ear plugs fixed that.

Great location, looks like apartments converted to hotel suites. We had nice living room with sofa bed for our teenager and a bedroom with attached bath. Room did not have coffee maker, we asked only on 2nd day. Should have a microwave. Wife was upset since she uses a heated comfort bag for her back.

The location was great. We got there early around noon and were able to check into our rooms and clean up before trekking off to shop. My shower flooded the washroom. No electricity to plug in my curling iron on the second. A lot of street noise at night. I think they should seriously think about double paning the windows - it would be money well spent.

We stayed there 9 nights and enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were very friendly and kind. The front staff sent us a mechanical man very quickly even though it was nearly midnight. Our room was upgraded to suite!! and also given some complimentary. Thank you very much for everything! Rooms were very spacious, comfortable and quiet. Two bathrooms are very easy for us to get ready in the morning. I would love to stay here next time when I come to New York. Only thing I wasn't happy about was a glass which had a crack and I was hoping the cleaning lady would change it. But she didn'T.
