the room was great especially since we were upgraded to a suite.
no in room coffee
Location was very good for our purposes of business.
The hotel needs to be renovated urgently. Very scuffed furniture and a very tired look in the rooms and corridors. Wifi was free but with a very poor signal in my room. They were unable to fix it.
Room comfortably set out Wardrobe area nice Towels nice quality Linen nice quality Bed lovely Staff very nice and dealt very quickly with a broken tap
Air con bit too much of a cold blast came from it but it did definitely work well. Shower curtain too short. Long mirror would have been nice
Upgraded to a suite Room size was very large Quiet Good views Good central location
Bathroom needed a refurb
Staff very friendly and helpful
Location. Wifi was good with 1000KB/s pretty consistently. Room was cleaned well each day. Staff were good for the facilities.
Noise, from outside the building as the windows didn't seal air tight, and also the cleaning staff were loud in the corridor each morning. In the end I had very few well rested nights, I would recommend looking for double glazed windows if staying in NY!
Got upgraded to suite
Front desk staff a bit standoffish and bit 'cold' in dealing was guests
I found hair in the shower when I jumped in on marathon morning, and the coffee cups I was provided were dirty. I felt that for $321.00, my small room should have been clean.
Good location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of great eating places nearby. Bathroom very clean and roomy and recently renovated. Great value for NYC prices.
The fitness facility was down 1/2 a block at the Tuscany (sister hotel). The carpet and bead spread were both very dark brown which left me more suspect about how clean it was or was not. Also there was no desk in the room so I had to work with my laptop on the night stand which was uncomfortable.
The room size at The Court is so generous. And not just by NYC standards. The rooms could use a bit of sprucing up in terms of decor but all was clean and well-maintained. Staff is friendly and gracious.
Wish the hotel bar were a bit more busy. Definitely not a happening spot.
The showers need to be modernized
Service was slow and poor. Way too expensive for poor/ slow service. No wash clothes in bathroom.
The staff friendly *Location was ok *Room was clean *Room was big
*Capet ripped at the seams *Moulded on the tiles in bathroom *Bathroom tap fittings loose from tiles *Worlds most lowest toilet to floor *Bathroom fittings very dated *Paint flaking from walls *Nearly all electrical power sockets broke *No electric power socket next to bed? *Lights difficult to turn on "really" *Lamp shades ripped *Furniture chipped *Free wifi is just a gesture doesn't actually work! Forget trying to check emails.
Very good for all attractives and metro. Staff delicious and helpfull. We could see Empire from our room. Clean and big room for NYC standard.
The location is great being about 7 min walk from grand central station. The hotel is modern and the rooms large for new york. We had to request for tea and coffee making facilities. On the first night there it took two phone calls and ages for it to be delivered to the room. The second night it was much quicker even though we had put in a request that morning and had to make a second request in the evening. On the whole it was pleasant experience.
There is loud banging noise at night from the pipes in the bathroom which meant being a light sleeper meant I was woken up a lot. The toiletries are no longer Philosophy as detailed on their website and depending on the front desk staff at the time made a difference as to how long you had to wait for something to be done.
Location and nothing more...
Most terrible lobby Staff: I booked 4 rooms through Booking.com, and required payment by cash. But the staff at Lobby took the extra guarantee-money of $100/room from my Debit card and said "Oop, sorry my mistake, will turn it back in 2 days".. but I have waited for 26 days already, without seeing my money back into my account. The answer always was "it will be returned someday depending on the bank...:-O". That was most terrible behavior I ever met in my travelling life...!
The location was in easy reach of station and places of interest. Staff were very helpful.
convenient location comfortable room mini bar free WIFI
no coffee maker in room not enough outlets
Nice location clean rooms clean bathrooms
Wi-Fi was poor
Very large rooms. Everything was very clean. We consulted alot with the bellboys, who were helpfull and helped all the time.
The rooms and loby are dark - not much light for me. The Concierge was not avilable in several times - was late. They were not flexible with check out time. Being their guest for a week (2 rooms) I expected to stay tull 16:00 in 1 room for free but they refused
Spacious, clean and comfortable
We booked for 3 adults and had to ask for bed for 3rd person. Room was set up for 2, glasses, robes, mini bar etc. Bedroom needs to have a wastebasket.
What you see in the pictures is not exactly what you get.... The Hotel seems to be better in the pictures than in reality
size of the room, the view
price, that they delivered not out laundry
Helpful friendly staff Location, bus from/to airport 2 block away Asked for a quiet room and got it, slept well Opposite a great gluten free bakery, Pips, good for breakfast
Tired rooms, not dirty but could do with a makeover for the price. I think this used to be a W hotel and it looks like they havent changed a thing . Hideous brown carpet, v worn
Location is good- not excellent, but good. Close to grand central 9just 3 streets blocks away), many restaurants and cafe's around. No laundromats, and cleaning services are next-day only. In the lobby there's a good bar, pool table and many guests take advantage of it.
Breakfast is not included and the continental cost $15.Additional omelet will cost $14!! go out and dine in the numerous number of diners around for less than $10. I had to wait 10 minutes for a porter to bring the trolley to our room, because they wouldn't let me take it myself. The staff wasn't too helpful. Windows are not sound-proof (they're not double-glazed) so the hustle from the Lex Av. is quiet noisy. In contrary to other hotels, there's complementary laundry room (like in the Staybridge suites at Times Square, for example), and the laundry charges are outrageous. Bath curtain is a bit too short, causing water to flood the bathroom. There's no in-house gym, but they have an arrangement with around the corner one.
