With just an hour's notice, they added a bed to our room for a surprise visit from our son.

You could easily hear the noise in the hall way .
It is located in a relative quiet neiborhood .

Well we wished it has another elevator since the ine they have is pretty slow. Also we would've loved if it had a mini microwave or a refrigerator. Other than that no complaints.
My friends and I trsveled to NYC for the first time and we loved it. The hotel was super clean which is super important for us. We shared bathroom but it was no big deal. It never interfered with our schedule. The location is great because is far enough to getaway from the noise but close enough about a 5 min walk to where all the commotion is. ( union square) we really didn't intearct with the staff just when checking in and out. But seem nice. We also like that there's plenty of places to eat, shop near the hotel. Also it has a safe which is great.

I wish the bathroom off my hall had hooks to hang my towel and clothes.
Location, the building. Also met several lovely foreign travelers who were staying there.

Room way to small and staff was rude. Didn't explain where the bathroom/shower was located. Had to travel back down to ask.

Nice location, nice design, nice welcome, nice personnel, clean and functional rooms...

The bed was a bit on the hard side, and the pillow not the most comfy, but neither were terrible either. I had been concerned about "shared bathroom" but it all worked out swimmingly.
It was beautiful and charming..and also spotless. Staff kind and helpful. The value was phenomenal. I feel as though I uncovered a well-kept secret. I traveled alone on this trip but will bring family on subsequent ones. Who needs fancy?

Staff should update their information on public transport sice Line L in subway was temporary suspended (while the staff teach me to take Line L....)
Staff is very nice amd helpful in helping me in different stuff. They care about customer and ask how my matters went on. Though it is a public bathroom, the bathrooms were clean and they are available while I need them. The location is convenient to me, just 15 mins away from the Union Station. Good for a backpacker like me in travel.

The only thing missing from my room was a coffee maker, that would have made things 100%, but then I would have missed out on the Piccolo Cafe. :)
Stayed here at the last minute and was really blown away by how charming it was. It's an older building in a great location -- right near Gramercy, E. Vil, Union Square, etc. Staff was friendly, professional and great with recommendations about cafes and the area. The bed was so comfy, I couldn't make myself get out of it. I actually extended my stay. The shared bathrooms had me nervous, as the idea of it was gross, but they were exceptionally clean, so I needn't have worried. I was quite impressed by the cleanliness and high standards set by their staff.

Old fashioned decor and could have used some hooks in the bathroom.
good sized rooms with coffee machines and a small sink in them.
April 21, 2015
Water pressure in the showers was painfully high.
I loved the thrift of the place. Very comfortable, but no frills. For a solo traveler, all one needs is a bed, desk, sink and wifi in a private room. Perfect!

I was left alone to come and go as i please. When i needed anything the staff were quick to help. Its the second time iv stayed and looking forward to the next time. There is some great diners and bars across the street.
