The staff. LOCATION :) Restaurants near by.
Did not stay nearly long enough :)
Staff were super friendly and helpful - giving great recommendations for dinner etc Room was lovely, very spacious and clean. Good, quiet, AC and a comfortable bed.
Good location , near the beach and couple of nice restaurants. Helpful staff. The mini bar on the corridor is cute.
Late arrivals must informs innkeeper in advance.
Free wine and snacks in the evening and a delectable breakfast really made our stay memorable. The room was so clean, and it was such a quiet and restful stay. Perfect romantic getaway.
The underground parking garage is a bit tight, so use caution when pulling in and out of the garage - the driveway down is a bit steep.
Great location, clean rooms, huge bathroom and good wifi, private parking, nothing more.
We definately think that it is more than overrated hotel. The bathroom is bigger than the bedroom, what is it for we can't understand. The is no fridge in the room, you have to share it in the hall. The breakfast is very poor. We stayed there for 2 nights and for the last morning there were no peanut butter and philadelphia at all. The stuff told us, that they didn't go to the supermarket, so... sorry. Orange juice finished after 30 minutes of breakfast.
We had a wonderful time staying at the 1906 Lodge. The staff did a great job taking care of us from check in to check out and you can't beat the location. Just a block away from shopping, restaurants, the beach and "the Del". The lodge oozes charm.
It was near perfect. The food was delicious and staff very friendly. Especially loved the super quiet jacuzzi tub and fireplace. Quaint for sure!!
Everything! It was my second stay at The Lodge and it's a very comfortable, congenial place to visit. Everyone is friendly, helpful and even the other guests are very friendly. And you meet people from all over the world. Great amenities! The daily breakfast is a delight!
My mattress was a bit noisy when I moved. This may have made my sleep somewhat erratic.
The staff needs to be reminded to knock before entering the guest's room.
The at home feeling that the lodge suggests
The television is poorly located and almost impossible to view
I liked everything about this place. Not like a big hotel or anything so it is very peaceful. Location was perfect. 2 minutes walk away from everything but far away enough to the point where you are not bothered by all the commotion. HIGHLY recommend this place. Wifey and I had a blast. We will be back!
I didn't like the fact that my vacation had to end.
The room and setting was beautiful, really impressively done and ideal location for the beach and local restaurants. Staff were very friendly food was good, perhaps there could have been a little more choice.
Wifi signal was too weak in the room.
Location Architecture Comfortable room Breakfast
Liked it all!
Everything was awesome , staff was very accommodating , food was great, thx so much
I loved the breakfast in the mornings. I loved the room . I loved the wine and auderbs . I love that the hotel is only 2 blocks from the beach . I love the nice thick clean towels . very nice place to stay and we will be back in 6 months .
The bed was a little hard for my husband and I , and the tub was a little difficult to get into and out of , and the shower curtains kept getting stuck to my body cause of the narrow space in the tub . but I still enjoyed my baths .
Very charming and romantic and intimate.
Wine and cheese hour was kinda "low budget". The wine was large economy bottles and there was no cheese, only frozen pizza, black olives, and pickles. ???
Brandt H We visited Coronado Island for a five day beach get-away from the summer desert heat. We usually try for a small rental apartment, but the 1906 Lodge turned out to be a great alternative. As a retired architect, I am very appreciative of all the work that went into restoring the original building, as well as extensive site work, new building and street realignment that led to additional neighborhood parking. The results are beautiful. The developer and owners should be very proud of their accomplishment. Every member of the staff, from the Innkeeper on down were always professional and genuinely concerned that we have a pleasant stay. Each morning, a beautifully prepared breakfast was available, and each day's entree was unique. Housekeeping was efficient and consistently good. In summary, If you are looking for a genuinely hospitable, distinctive and well maintained place to stay, The 1906 Lodge can't be beat.
Everything, great hotel!
- quiet location close to beach - individualized rooms are special - great braekfast - it's a very charming place, and a great choice
- rooms have little natural light in the inn style though the lighting system inside compensates
Everything is wonderful. We had gorgeous time. Thanks for everything to employees.
The room was outstanding, very charming. The staff were also very friendly and guest oriented. It is the perfect Bed and Breakfast hotel.
Lovely peaceful place in great location. Excellent to have off-street parking in the garage for free.
Bed was noisy
