West 46th Street Apartment  

Location - a block away from Times Square Everything worked in the bathroom

- Manager never responded to emails or phone calls; if the cleaning lady didn't see us, we'd never be able to get in; - windows leak - a lot! - Wi-Fi never worked - the router sat in a pile of equipment on the floor and none of the devices could connect to it; - electrical equipment was outright scary

Location Was excellent

Apartment was not ready on the day of arrival and was only advised when we arrived there. We were then asked to go to another apartment that was booked by the owner, but only for half the people. We also had to pay ourselves to get to the other apartment. We were told that the original apartment will be ready the next morning and were only allowed to move in after 15:30 the next day. Overall I was very disappointed with 46th West and will never stay there again or recommend it to anyone. I feel the least the owner could do we refund us for the first days accommodation for the inconvenience caused!!

46th street is fantastic! Tons of places to eat a great Jazz supper club with incredible swing dancers Swing 46 and a real fun campy piano bar with singing waiters at Don't Tell Mama's across the street. It was nice to have the apartment with a kitchen and separate sleeping area for the kids in the front room.

Very noisy with everyone having fun in the street below you and honking horns. The place is run down with dripping faucets, cracked tiles, a broken window and burnt out light bulbs but I still enjoyed my stay

communication was hard, place was OK but not great a bit smelly and messy entrance. While we were there they stuffed all new packages in the room. Had to boil water in a pan on the stove

Location. The bed and lounge room suite were both comfortable.

Pokey, ill equipped kitchen..room for bed only in the bedroom. Very hard dragging suitcases up those narrow, multi level winding stairs.The permeating smell of artificial air freshener was particularly unpleasant .

Clean

Didn´t stay in 46th street due to works in the apartments. Was moved to a basement 40 blocks away! Apartment was cold and had no way of improving temperature. Total cost had a hidden "service fee".

-Customer Service was phenomenal -Apartment was much bigger than expected -Armada of space heaters got rooms warm fast -Great Location (walking distance between Grand Central and Time Square)

-A window was slightly open upon arrival so it was nippy indoors

Convenient

Everything! It was conveniently located, the price was great, and despite what I read from older reviews, it was clean and well kept. There was no elevator, but...it's an apartment building! Do you have someone at your house who carries your luggage? There was no daily maid service, but again...who cleans up after you on a daily basis? This was my first time staying so I didn't know what to expect. I did not know there would be all the necessary towels, sheets, dishes in the cabinets, etc. There were no toiletries, but those are very personal items and I don't think I would have used any if they had been left in there. It was quite spacious for a one bedroom and it would have slept five people, with four of those people doubling up. The bed had a wonderfully fluffy duvet that was quite toasty for my January stay. I did not know what to expect from the check-in process, as my flight was very late at night. Call once you are in the city and the check-in person will provide you with the numeric code to enter on the door lock, as well as a different numeric code to dial into the key box embedded in the apartment door. Inside the key box is your apartment key. The man also texted all of these details to my phone so I would have them during my stay, along with the wi-fi password. The wi-fi signal strength was great in the apartment. All in all, this is just a very old building that has been repainted and new parquet floors put in. Yes, the hallway carpet was a little shabby and the stairs on the staircase leaned slightly, but it's an old building! It was certainly not the Hilton, but it also didn't cost a fraction of what the Hilton costs! It was clean, safe, and very convenient...what more could you ask for in the middle of Manhattan? I will definitely stay here again when I go back in February and have told friends who are traveling in March to book through this site.

The only negatives were the heat didn't work and the bathtub faucet wouldn't stop running. There was still plenty of hot water and good water pressure for my showers. The apartment had several space heaters stored in closets and cabinets, but none of them seemed to work when I plugged them in. Luckily, as a building this large and well-kept, there was enough heat coming from the restaurant below that I didn't completely freeze, but it would have been nice to be a little warmer. Luckily, the duvet on the bed was very cozy for sleeping! Other reviewers have complained about the noise outside the apartment. The housing is situated over a bar, but it is a very classy Irish bar that also serves as a restaurant, so it's not like unsavory people are milling about smashing beer bottles outside your window.

Nothing it was a shithole

I didnt stay in the end because it was filthy,cold,nothing worked for eg lights,mould in the bathroom,it was the worst place I have ever set foot in-in my life and I want a refund please!! Debs x

I am really satisfied with the apartment. I didn`t have troubles on get in or getting out. The keys were there, on the door. The localization was perfect: 5 minutes of times square. It was safe, clean and great because my family and I could be together in the same space. There are 3 bedrooms. There is a brazilian restaurant downstairs, which is very good to vary the food.

The place was clean. And very close by to Times Square.

It was extremely overpriced! We were not told we were directly above a bar which was open until the very early morning hours and had their music blaring not to mention the patrons coming out of the place making a lot of noise. There was no heat, and when we put on the space heaters that were made available we kept blowing a fuse! I am very disappointed in spending close to 1 thousand dollars for a 2 night stay and got barely any sleep and there was no-one who came to replenish the towels.

Apartment never clean They gave us clean towels on the first day, and they never changed them. We had to clean the bathroom by ourself. After the 10 am there is a lack of hot water

The location was everything. Close to Times Square, restuarants and shopping, ease of getting to most things in New York. Got what you paid for. The shower had good pressure and the beds were okay. It was quaint, climbing three floors in a very narrow staircase with heavy suitcases is not very everyon, great experience of living in the heart of mid-town.

The TV was not connected properly, there was not enough towels for the amount of people booked in, Sheets were inadequate, (single bottom sheet for a double bed). The street noise was very loud, however having decent earplugs helped (letting travellers know and advise to bring earplugs would be helpful)

The location and felt safe traveliing even in the middle of the night to time square and around. The wifi facility the fully equipped apptmnt wth a fairly gd bathroom.

There was no one at reception and climbing up nd dwn 3 floors wth heavy bags was difficult without help. Otherwise v .gd.

The only good thing was the location, it was close to everything we wanted to access

There was no on site staff, when we arrived we could not even find the apartment as the front part of the apartment is now a bar/restaurant, unlike the picture on the website.We had trouble connecting with someone to tell us how to get into the apartment, there was no check in process at all. There was no elevator and we had to drag our luggage up four flights of stairs. There was a kitchen, but no dish towels or washing cloths. The bathroom did not have a toilet paper holder and the fans in both the bathroom and kitchen were full of dust. The air conditioning unit made a terrible noise so we had to turn it off to sleep. We did not get any clean towels for the whole time we were there. The front closet had no doors, they were actually laid inside the closet. We would have left if we had not paid for the place. It was gross!

Only the location was good, right in the theatre district.

Instructions were to call to arrange for getting into the apartment. That was a chore in itself, as the number provided had no answer, leaving us wondering if we were going to get in. Finally established contact and was let in, to an apartment that was at the top of a four floor walkup. No instructions on anything, had to call the non-responsive number again. Wi-fi did not work, TV had one channel. I asked to have fixed, but was ignored. We stayed 5 nights and never got cleaned once, no replacement toilet paper, no soap or shampoo. A/C was a joke, and the fully equipped kitchen had no can opener or paper towels. We ended up never cooking there, it was so lousy. This apartment should be removed from booking.

Too small.

Relaxed and good size 3br apt. It was a good option for a couple traveling with an 18 yr. The location was great. A couple of blocks from Times Square and many restaurants right out the door.

I read the previous reviews and was concerned after booking that we would not like this apt. However, the super/manager was available immediately by phone, we were able to get into the building and the apt. Right away, and although the apt was in need of updating and a little maintainence, it was adequate for our puposes. My 18 yr old loved it, especially the large balcony.

Room infuriating was not bad. That's it.

No detail instruction for check-in. Kitchen equipment (oven) was broken. Room furniture was quite good but I felt too scared to stay at apt. because entrance of building was just a glass door, key rock was may broken and unlocked. Everyone can go into the building. Building was so old, no elevator so I was scared to say and decided to move to another accommodation.

It was a nice place and close to Time Square. And a decent price.

There is no hotel staff because it's in an apartment building. Also they had a roll of paper towels where the toilet paper should have been.

The main door of the building didn't lock which was a security issue
