Excellent location, near everything.
just off time square and one block down from port authority bus terminal. also subway across road. loads restaraunts nearby
The hotel is very clean and the employees were very gentle. After you check out you can leave your bags there and keep enjoying New York. The breakfast was simple but complete. I have nothing to complain about this hotel.
Excellent base location to explore the city.
Great location in the center of Manhattan Friendly and helpful staff Tiny but clean and nice rooms Free Wi-Fi in room and lobby
Awful breakfast Double bed is a really small for two people A/c system is a very noisy (you can not sleep if it works) Value for money is not very good for entire Manhattan but it is the best for this location
You cannot beat this location, especially for first time NYC visitors. We were a group of three, and thus we were accomodated perfectly with 3 single beds (1 bunk bed). Clean, modern room. Great location to get anywhere on Metro - many lines converge at 42nd Station and there is access right outside our door. They had a closet area to hang up clothes, cubbies for each of us to set stuff, and personalize - able safes for important items. Also, due to the hot water issue they reimbursed us 10% per day that it happened.
The bed were not very comfortable. The glass modern shower stall means in a room with 3 friends, no one can enter the bathroom while another person is showering. Putting up a shower curtain would have saved us a lot of time. Also, having a tub would be nice because we couldn't soak our feet at the end of a long day trekking around NYC. Beyond this, we were without hot water for almost 2 days. A cold shower does wake you up, but was not nice.
Clean Friendly Value for money on NYC scale, but still craaazzzzy expensive
small rooms AC was very loud
Walking distance from Times Square, Broadway, etc. Affordable rates if you don't need luxury Clean and safe place to stay Near public transport
No Wifi for 4 days No hot water for the entire stay of 5 days Reluctance of manager to sort out the hot water problem
Room small & sparse. Bathroom should be updated. However, location is best in NYC, price very reasonable, and included breakfast is very satisfying.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was small, but very clean. We really enjoyed the flat screen TV with built in DVD for winding down after a long day and night. The location could not be beat. Two subway stations are very close. My 16 yr old and I walked back from the shows late at night and never felt unsafe. I would not even consider staying anywhere else.
Luggage storage is small. If you get there before check in and it is full, your luggage is stored in an open room in the back. Just make sure it is locked or zip tied and you should be fine.
Location is really good (just around the corner of Times Square, Broadway and a metro entrance just across the street) Friendly staff. Clean room and bathroom. Safes available in the room. Wifi in the room was a bit shaky but we could always go sit in the bar where the signal was good. Nice decorated bar/lounge with food & cocktails available.
Keep in mind this is a hostel, so facilities are pretty basic (The rooms only had a bed in it, not even a chair). Breakfast was a bit simple (only corn flakes and toast with jam or cream cheese available)
This hotel is right in the centre of NYC and very easy to get to by subway. We came from JFK on the air train and subway with two large suitcases so it was a relief to find the hotel just a short walk away. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Facilities were good and the room was clean and comfortable. Overall excellent value for money.
The breakfast range was lacking any meat but the bread and bagels were nice. Shower was not very powerful and the water temp varied but not very hot. None of the above would prevent me recommending this hotel to others.
As a couple we were able to have the privacy of our own room and a double bed unlike other hostels that have rooms full of bunk beds. We also had our own en-suite. The location is top class! Equity Point is a block away from Times Square and walking distance from many other sites.
Nothing, it has the thumbs up from me!
Despite being just rounjd the corner from Times Square my room was very quiet. The room was clean, had an excellent en-suite, and I would definitely return if I had to stay in NT again.
Breakfast was not all that good - minimal choice.
Perfect location to explore the city of New York. Basic comfort, great price.
Massive aircon unit right next to the bed very very noise bring earplugs no hot water sometimes
Location was excellent walking distance to everything
Room too tiny. No fridge in room
The location offered a level of convenience that you could not find anywhere else in NYC. The closeby subway station enabled easy transportation to anywhere in the city. But most importantly, the room and the facilities were clean, rated A by the city officials.
The free Wi-Fi service was very poor, with intermittent connection.
The location was fantastic. Appreciated the staff and how helpful they were. Enjoyed starting the day with free breakfast.Happy to have free WiFi.
Only having 2 towels per day.
The location is amazing for exploring NYC. You walk out the door on to Times Square and there is a subway entrance with many different lines opposite the exit to the hostel. This is more like a budget hotel, rather than a hostel as the name implies.
The room was extremely hot. The aircon was too loud to have on all night, and as there wasn't much of a window, the temperature just rose and rose. The hot water was broken on one morning, but was fixed promptly.
Small room, but location couldn't be better. Subway directly at the hostel. Our room was to the backyard, so it was quiet.
The floor was changed during our stay... But nobody informed us One morning there was no hot water in the hole hostel...
The situation is simply the bes. Despite small size, rooms have all the neccesary.
Breakfast could be improved
