location was fine, cost for NYC reasonable. staff ok

the room, which I needed on the ground floor due to a leg problem was very small. with stairs rooms seem to be a lot better. Breakfast was a bit improvised.

stayed for a week. Loved this hotel and probably will stay there again. small hotel with nice, professional personal, nice breakfast (included in room price), clean, big enough room and bathroom, comfortable bed.

no elevator - after hours flight from Europe, was a little bit disturbing. (in the site then mentioned the no elevator issue).

1.Great location in Midtown, it's right near everything; broadway shows,public transport, numerous restaurants, etc. 2. It's quiet; we had a room on the 3rd floor facing the courtyard and there was little noise from outside, or, from other rooms 3. It's reasonably priced. We stayed for 11 days and the total accommodation bill was great for a central Manhattan hotel 4. It feels more like a B & B than a big hotel which I much preferred 5. A good continental breakfast was included in the room rate; this is our usual sort of breakfast so it suited us perfectly 6. It was comfortable accommodation, not really flash, but the rooms had all the basics, the bed was soft and gave a great night sleep, there was a lounge area and an open fire in the reception area; it had all the facilities we needed. 7. The free Wi Fi access was invaluable 8. Staff were helpful and friendly

It was a great place to stay for my daughter and I, however, getting a heavy bag up two flights of stairs when we first arrived was a battle (no lift) but only a one-off negative. Going up and down the stairs each day didn't phase us (helped keep us fit!) but it may not suit everyone.

Good location, near to Times Square , basic breakfast , boutique style hotel so the rooms are not big but good enough and clean ,comfortable , staff is friendly.

it is not cheap

I liked the small friendly hotel in the big business city. I felt safe there. Rooms Were clean. Staff was lovely. Very easy to get to theatre. Also the parking garage around the corner was soo easy and well priced !!

neighborhood was filthy. Lots of trash in gutters etc.. I live in city the city of Boston so I know it is difficult To keep up with trash. But each business and building should have neighborhood pride and sweep daily

Location was perfect. Vicinity to Times Square, Central Park, etc. was really appealing. Room was a decent size and clean.

The location is great, steps to Times Square, Central Park, etc. The Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are clean, the complimentary breakfasts are great to grab and go! I will definitely return on my next visit.

Free Wi-fi in the room, free breakfast in the morning, very courteous

No elevator, but they will help you with your luggage which is nice

The hotel was convenient and walking distance to almost everything we wanted to do while there. Cafe's & bars are around the corner with a wide variety of food/drinks. Times Sq/Broadway is just up the street too and an easy walk. Taxi could be found easy too. Very nice for such a small hotel. Staff was extremely friendly & polite too.

Staff was very welcoming and helpful. We liked the size of the hotel and the friendliness of the other guests at breakfast. Wonderful to have coffee and the paper to read in the lobby. Great use of space.

There was no chair in our first floor room (a chest of drawers took up all the space) but it worked out all right because it's nyc - we were there for the theater and weren't in the room long to sit.

Extremely conveniate location, walking distance to Times Square! Clean rooms and friendly staff willing to help and to answer any questions.

A super friendly, homey and welcoming hotel. The rooms are really nice and clean (and renovated). The location is right about in the middle of the theater district (!) but yet in the same time it is rather quiet in case you want to sleep in. We had a great time at the 414 inn and we'll definitely come back next time we're in NYC.

Only thing is that there isn't an elevator, so we had to carry our luggage upstairs by ourselves. We managed to do that alright (we stayed on the 2nd floor) but I guess this might not suit everyone.

The location of this hotel for us was the best.

We were on the 4th floor and after walking all day around the city, did not look forward to the climb up the stairs.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was more than adequate. Room was clean and had refrigerator and hair dryer. Large bathroom.

Room was small, had to get creative with luggage placement. Very little counter space in bathroom but there was a "TV tray" so used it for toiletries.

very good location, a friendly Inn type atmosphere and very comfortable and clean rooms on a tree lined street with several international restaurants within two blocks. Bed were very comfortable with excellent TV, if you care to watch.

the hotel was set in a great & but quite location. the hotel was very clean and comfy .Perfect in the evening for eating out plenty of resturants to choose from, Becco on 46th street between 8th & 9th Ave was excellent. 5 mins stroll to times square. 15 minutes walk to 5th Ave . would stay here again in the future.

no lift . no kettle in the bedroom. but free tea and coffe was offered between 7am-7pm.

Friendly, helpful staff. Simple but good buffet breakfast. Great location, few minutes walk from Times Square, lots of affordable bars and restaurants nearby. Nice bright modern room and very comfortable bed

totally satisfied

I liked the quaintness of this boutique hotel in the Hell's Kitchen area of NYC. It was conveniently located to the Times Square area and within walking distance to the Theater District and all public transportation.

There is no elevator and we had to haul our luggage up to the 4th floor via a narrow stairwell. The night clerk was less than friendly and offered us very little in the way of assistance with our luggage, which made it difficult for us as I was travelling with my sister and both of us are older with knee and shoulder problems.

The amenities and the breakfast were great and the staff were very good. location was not bad at all, short walk to Times Square

Hotel is due for a refreshining. Needs new carpet and fresh paint

Comfort level of bed, pillows,.... Tv reception of local channels very poor. Couldn't watch an NFL game on local CBS station on Thanksgiving due to poor quality of reception. No elevator
