Comfortable, clean, good location, Small gym with good equipment, staff pleasant and helpful, strong wifi signal. Excellent large TV Screen. Good lighting in room. Breakfast facility limited but fine.
Small bathroom. Very slight old building odor. Carpet in elevator needed cleaning.
Had everything we needed. 2 minutes from Grand Central sub way, 10 minutes from Times Square. The concierge service is brilliant, Kevin is very friendly, helpful and knowledgable.
Very comfortable sleep. Good shower. Exceptionably helpful and polite Staff. Very close to Grand Central Terminal and links.
Decor, especially carpets and wallpaper, was a bit dark and looked dated.
I loved the unexpected things like the flavored water and the morning coffee that was included.
Nothing not to like!
Great little coffee shop in hotel building
Small rooms and bathrooms
The location of the hotel in a quiet portion of the Park Avenue is very convenient. It is close to the Grand Central station and in walking distance to the Empire State building. Rooms are a bit small but big enough for New York. Clean, friendly personnel, realxing atmosphere.
help desk, kevin and his collegue for the trip suggestions a good experience during fire false alarm
Location Price Extremely helpful and friendly staff! Clean and spacious room Really nothing to complain about. A perfect stay!
Maria at front desk was excellent The fruit and the newspapers and happy hour were all very nice additions I liked the decor Bed was very comfortable
Very impressed with the hotel. I have stayed in other properties that were literally closets. 70 Park Avenue has very spacious rooms and the service was very professional at all times.
The hotel is in a great location at just a few minutes walk to Grand Central Station/Empire State Building/Chrysler building, and good subway links to Downtown. The staff are very friendly. We stayed in a Premier King Room, which was a good size, plush and comfortable. We really enjoyed our long weekend there!
There could be a bit more lighting in the room, but we were out most of the day sightseeing and exploring so only noticed this a few times.
Delicious complementary lemonade and iced tea in the lobby
Was charged for mini bar items that I did not consume - although this was reversed when queried
Free coffee Water in the lobby
I liked the room very much-clean and well kept. Hector one of the Bell staff was amazing and informative. LOVE the afternoon wine tasting the best tasting coffee for a hotel. Amazing housekeeping staff and front dest as well! I also received a birthday card and a comp drink card.
The Lobby could do with a makeover. I was a bit turned off one I entered. The carpet looks a bit worn, did not give a first great imnpression. Wished the Bar was open on Sunday.
The hotel room was roomier than many NYC hotels, very clean, plenty of light and mirrors but what really stood out was the responsive pleasant staff. Kimpton must have an outstanding training program.
My only negative is the design decision to use a sliding door to the bathroom. I just don't feel it provides enough privacy for two people, but - obviously - that's a personal preference.
early check in service
Location, atmosphere, and friendly helpful staff.
Rooms are small. Bathrooms are smaller. It wouldn't stop me from booking again however.
The bathroom door, location and use of space in the room
Got a good deal on this hotel at Booking.com Helpful staff, black out blinds, comfortable bed.
WiFi and breakfast not included, no tea making facilities in room but available before 11am in hotel cafe.
our room was initially very bad. it was very old fashion and with poor quality. Then, we asked them to change our room and they did. The second one was better. In general, this is not a hotel with good quality. it is old fashion and the lobby was very small and bad.
Very comfortable bed. Close to grand central for transportation.
Scaffolding outside hotel with no warning and very dirty windows due to outside work, no reduction in charges. Barman was very rude and dismissive and kept me waiting ages after taking my order whilst he chatted to another customer.
Everything was decent. Good polite helpful staff. Comfy bed. Excellent facilities in room and good wifi.location good. Near restaurants bars metro atm machine, supermarket. Recommended for sure. Nice bar too open til midnight.
Only minor thing was on the 16th floor there was a telephone, presumably for staff to use, it was in the middle of the hallway and it would ring for about 10 minutes before the person calling it hung up. We were awake by then but if we had planned to sleep past 8.30 it would have woke us up. Im sure it was the reception trying to contact the maids or the Super/janitor. Apart from that we loved it.
Kind and efficient receptionists.
Phone to frontdesk did not work No warmwater in the shower Information about password to wifi was could be much more easily accessible The man responsible for storing bags insisted to cary my very small hand luggage bag to my room ( probably just to get a tip), but forgot to bring it so after a long while I had to go down and fetch it anyway (!!!!!!)
location, friendliness, nice on site bar
