Hotel 71    

The rooms were spacious with room to entertain the rest of the group traveling with us.

The gap at the bottom of the door allowed too much noise in from the hallway.

bathroom. only one sink with 1 small mirror. no mirror outside of bathroom. booked room with 4 people only 2 towels and 2 coffees. Staff did get us 2 more towels and 2 more coffees. An additional mirror outside of bath would be a great addition.

We loved the location! The view from our room was really great, we were right in the center of everything.

The room was clean, but for the price it was a bit tired, and the air did not work very well and the windows did not open.

The location is excellent. Also, the outdoor bar/ eating area.

The location was great and the room was very spacious and comfortable. Facilities were excellent.

Slow lifts, inconvenience of being offered something only to find it not available I.e. discounted tickets to the red trolley bus; room was not cleaned by 3:00 pm in the afternoon.

The location, the room was spacious , very comfortable, very very clean , very nice and pretty hotel!

One front desk lady was moody and not cordial. The tall doorman, gave no eye contact, not very friendly, never offered us a taxi, or help ,seemed mad/stuck up. All the other doormen were great,nice and helpful. Big smiles always, just what you need to start you day.

16th floor room had a knock out view of the River and the Loop in general. Room was large and particularly comfotable. The staff was professional, friendly and very helpful.

Lobby and entry way seem a bit dated. The downstairs restaurant and bar could be incorporated more into the lobby area through some remodeling.

Great location, good value for size of room and where the hotel is located. Very very nice and helpful staff!

We loved our stay at Hotel 71. The view from our room was fabulous, like something you'd see in a Chicago brochure. The room was spacious and the hotel was close to everything. Staff was very nice. We will definitely stay there again the next time we visit Chicago.

Parking was expensive.

Very helpful and personable staff who made great suggestions at the end of my stay when my flight was cancelled. Felt comfortable there as a female traveling solo.

The staff were amazing...attentive, helpful and extremely friendly. They couldn't do enough to make our girls weekend to celebrate my daughter's upcoming wedding a wonderful memory. I would definately make this my "go to" hotel whenever I visit Chicago.

Air conditioner was poor, had to get a fan from front desk because room was so hot.

Very relaxed yet professional atmosphere. Liked the 24 hour fitness center.

Would've welcomed walking map of area. I didn't think to ask for one though.

Great location in the middle of downtown Chicago. If you want to go to the museums and see downtown chicago everything is within walking distance.

My excellent choice. Located in the northern point of the Loop city district. Cozy, clean, business hotel for reasonable price. Chicago Theatre is close at hand. It takes 15-minute walk along Michigan Avenue to reach Art Institute Chicago in which arranged Impressionist treasures of art, masterpieces of Pablo Picasso and many other contemporary collections. And for shoppers - just go across the bridge and you are on the famous Magnificent mile.

The friendly staff upgraded us to a nicer room and pointed us to a great place for breakfast. The room was very nice and the location was great (couple of minute walk to shopping on Michigan Ave and great dining choices)

Never like paying for parking in Chicago and it was like $50 a day to park on/near the property (that may be just the way it is in that area). Might figure out how to take train/cabs and leave the car at home...

The staff at hotel 71 was truly amazing! The room service and food was super, would highly suggest this to anyone looking for a prime location hotel with the top of the line staff!!!

Staff were absolutely amazing! We spent our 1 st year anniversary at this place. Loved it!!! It was so thoughtful from the staff to send the fruit plate and a card!!! We will definatelly return to this hotel again
