Spacious room so two young kids could run around in the room, contemporary styling, updated bathroom, good beds and great location. Couldn't ask for more.
I thought it was great. Great location and pleasant staff.
Excellent location; helpful and friendly staff.
The noise level in the restaurant was so high on both of the evenings that we stayed in the hotel that it was impossible to have a conversation during the meal without literally shouting at each other. We mentioned this to the staff several times and, although they were sympathetic, they told us that they couldn't do anything about it as the noise was due to guests attending a very large wedding party. As a result, on our second evening, we felt obliged to ask the staff to pack up our meal so that we could eat in 'peace and quiet' in our room. Although the rooms were spacious and clean, the decor was rather drab and needed updating.
Would invest in standard baby crib. Pack and play uncomfortable and older.
location, exercise room view
beds were hard actually more coffee in the morning
Location is great for the mile. Depending on the room you get, it's a super nice hotel. The first time I stayed here I had a superb river-front, newly re-docorated room - it was spacious and everything felt, smelt and looked fresh. This time I got a river-front room but in one of the older rooms. There was a musty smell with the old fashioned air vent system and frankly, it just wasn't as enjoyable stay as I have had before, nothing seemed as fresh and modern as I had the first time and therefore I was quite disappointed for the price knowing there are better rooms. The location is superb and that is what you pay for I guess. The restaurant is good too - the staff were really good, though the one behind the bar could have looked a bit happier about life.
Musty room smell, didn't feel like an especially valued customer, wifi was a bit unreliable in my room - had to go to the lobby a couple of times, but it worked fine at other times. I don't like that the rooms are so inconsistent in quality and freshness. Makes it an unreliable choice for me.
Everything was very nice and clean and spacious.
Door was too loud Staff not helpful Shower was rusted
Location for exploring Chicago and great staff wanting to make our stay enjoyable
Wifi not working in our room for most of visit.
Love the corner room, fantastic view. Facilities very clean, bedding great, and location is the best
Staff at the front desk did their job but didn't look and feel friendly.
The room was immaculate! Comfortable bed, wonderful bathroom, keurig in room and water, great view of the river or city. Friendly and helpful staff all around! Bar and concierge in hotel, valet parking, convienent location
valet parking was $60 but it was convienent and easy so hard to complain about it! Most other hotels were $50 and more expensive rooms anyway.
Really enjoyed watching the city through the large picture window at night. Convenient walk to many attractions. Room service was great. Front desk staff did a fantastic job.
Good thing I brought earplugs---Walls of my room were situated right next to the elevator shaft, so I frequently heard the car sliding past my room at various times of the night, as well as the door dings (and so on). However, my view from the window made up for this inconvenience.
Location, peace and quiet. A wonderful shower stall!
Poor lighting in room and bathroom. It was almost impossible to apply makeup and use eyebrow tweezers. When we asked for a high end steak restaurant, the concierge recommended The Tortoise Club which certainly did not specialise in steaks.
Helpful and friendly staff, wonderful suite - a perfect experience how a business trip / hotel should be!
1. Bed is comfortable. 2. Good location.
1. Wi-fi is so bad and slow. 2. No pool!! 3. Valet parking is so bad you have to wait 20-25 until getting your car and the price for the valet parking is too expensive for poor service like that.
Our room was excellent - corner, high up with all the views you could want. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in.
Cannot think of anything.
I spent 1 night in Wyndham Grand Riverfront Chicago hotel (price : $ 200,41 + tax) in october 2014. I phoned twice to somebody in France, for a total duration less than 10 minutes. This has been charged $ 194,96 (same price than the room !!), which is absolutly immoderate and unacceptable, It shows a will to swindle the customer at the first opportunity. This hotel is to be absolutely avoided.
• great location • nice accommodations
• very expensive parking
Beautiful view onto Chicago River is definitely worth the extra cost, so don't forget to book a room with river view. The restaurant in the hotel serves good breakfast meals, although quite expensive, but there are plenty of options around the hotel. The location of the hotel couldn't be any better, all the Chicago highlights are in walking distance of the hotel. The room was very spatious and the staff friendly.
Like in most American hotels, the rooms/hotel itself don't really have European standard in terms of amenities and equipment (E.G. lights in the room, towel holders). If you compare the comfort to European standards, the hotel is quite pricey, but so is Chicago. Besides that, there is nothing negative about this hotel - very much enjoyed the stay!
The rooms were large and spacious, I had a river view which was spectacular. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.
The walls are thin and I could hear people entering and exiting their rooms throught the night, and at one point in time (around 4:30 - 5:00 am) there was a strange radio call in the hallway from one of the employees. There is also no mirror in the bedroom, so the only place to get ready is in the washroom. A bit inconvenient if travelling with another person. The Wifi was horrible, I don't think I was ever on-line more than 10 minutes before I would lose the connection, there was no way I could do any work (which may not be a bad thing ...)
Large room, free wifi, great location, beautiful view
Location fantastic.... Good size room and facilities Nice bathroom Wi fi Bed comfort Staff at reception good....sorted out problems quickly and efficiently particularly Maggie who sorted the breakfast issue for us
Breakfast which we had paid for in advance. This was the worst ever...total lack of organisation in a very scruffy, not clean restaurant. Staff not a clue, served all the breakfast together, cereal served at same time as hot breakfast. The first day the sullen waiter tried to charge us $64 ...took a long time and a trip to reception to convince him we had paid in advance. Poor poor quality...even when we pointed this out staff still saying " you folks still doin awesome?". Became quite a joke with us to see how awful it would be each day.Last two days got better as one young lady in the restaurant, Jessica took the issue in hand and gave us a better breakfast.....strange this had to be pointed out. We expected much better for this type of hotel. Later in Crowne Plaza in Washington DC where we stay every year.....no comparison for same price....
The corner room with a view of the Chicago river. The hotel was perfectly situated for me and my granddaughter. She has a disability and this was her first experience away from home. What an excellent experience for her from start to finish.
