Closeness to tube and wall street
entrance seemed a little shifty and would have been nicer if reception had been on the ground floor.
All of the above.
The trains and bridge traffic right outside, but surprisingly you get used to it and it didn't disrupt a good night's sleep one bit.
too noisy! Subway goes in 10 meters from your window!
It was in the heart of China town, not far from the subway. Nice welcome from the reception staff & given maps for NYC. The room was large, very clean & as reported right next to the bridge. Good earplugs are a must. Don't book this hotel if you are going to complain about the noise. Saying this we will definitely return
location was great! 10 minutes to Wall Street, Brooklin Bridge, subway, Soho, Little Italy; in the middle of Chinatown; clean; they iven have iron:)
noise from subway from Manhattan Brigde (hotel is very close to it; 10 metres maybe); wi-fi sometimes was sometimes wasn't)
the entire building didn't feel like a hotel. everything about the hotel was bad.
Location was great, room comfortable, no problems with that
Though they've done excellent job, the subway passes literally ten meters away from your window. It was as silent it could be, and I (a heavy sleeper) had no issues. I can imagine it could have been the worst night for a light sleeper though....
Beautiful front view. Worker polishing the front when we were their. Very clean. Very nice staff. Like that it was in Chinatown. Culturally nice and different.
our room was right off the main desk. They should relocate the check in desk to the bigger lounge section.
Hotel is very good located in the midst of China Town and has a very good price performance ratio. The hotel is clean and totally ok for a city trip.
Ear plugs are a must, as the hotel is directly located next to the bridge and therefore it is quite noisy.
The location worked out great for us. Walking distance to Chinatown, Little Italy, 9/11 memorial and close to the F train to get to Midtown and Uptown. The staff was very helpful with questions about different things.
The carpet in the room was filthy. Had stains on it everywhere. When I mentioned it to the staff they seemed to just accept the fact that it was what it was.
The trains are very noisy
Close to lots of downtown sites
Nearby overhead subway train noise may bother some people.
Be aware the hotel is located in Mexican district and rather far away from Hollywood
Very clean and a very confortable bathroom
WIFI the worst connection! I had to go to a nearby cofee shop to get my work done.
The staff was incredibly friendly and the hotel was a quick walk or train ride to everything that lower Manhattan has to offer. Also, a great price for that level of convenience.
The room is alarmingly close to the train, so sleep may be a bit of a struggle at times.
Cost was fair at time of booking. Very clean and comfortable bed.Staff helpful.
Booking.com stated my stay at a fair price. But, when I left checked out .There was a $200 more than what was stated when I booked.
good location, away from tourist hubs etc and subway nearby
The location is right next to the YO bus stop from philly to ny chinatown. The beds were clean and so was the room. The shower head was good and had a nice massaging setting that was much needed after dancing at a Bassnectar show!
The shower curtain rod is bent in a weird way so that the curtain does not stay completely closed. By the time I got out of the shower, the whole bathroom was covered in a couple inches of water...
The staff was very friendly and the room clean and comfortable. We were able to leave our bags at the front desk on the last day of our trip until we left for the airport. Nearest metro station only a five minute walk away.
The hotel is located on the south eastern end of Chinatown which isn't the most luxurious part of town. The hotel is also located just next to Manhattan Bridge which can be quite noisy. Thankfully the windows are very well insulated.
the bed was super comfy, especially after walking all over manhattan
walking back to it from the subway at night
The hotel was clean, quiet, and well located for travel via the Chinatown buses to other cities. The staff was absolutely excellent. Very good value for the money. I would definately stay there again and probably will.
Having the hot water go off during a Sunday morning shower was the most excitement of my stay there. I would assume that this was not a frequent occurrence.
Beds were comfortable, good WiFi,
The guy at the reception was the unfriendliest receptionist ever. I booked with a card and told I will pay with a different one, he just couldn't get it and told me unless I pay with the same card I can't stay there. - Tried to explain that the card I booked with expired. Eventually he got it. After I paid I was told I can't have a receipt until I check out and that 900 dollars had been blocked for my stay - however the whole price was just over 800 - He never explained why he blocked 900. Very, very, very noisy - you're under the Manhattan bridge and there's a train every 2 minutes. The twin room was tiny. I booked a two double bed room but was told there's nothing available. At 1 am I didn't feel like looking for another hotel. Rats in the street, dirty surroundings. I would never stay there again.
comfortable beds location for those who want to see Chinatown & Little Italy Easy subway access The best place to have breakfast (can't remember name) 3-4 blocks down street when you exit the hotel, turn right, same side of the street as hotel on the far corner.
Very stingy with plastic glasses. I was there 3 nights & given 3 glasses. I put my tooth brush in 1 that left me with 2 for medication, juice & soda. Communication between the hotel & the company used by hotel for transportation needs to improved. I requested a cab for my departure & confirmed it the night before giving airline name each time & gave the name of the airline to cab driver. Was taken to the wrong terminal. Being new to NYC I didn't catch this till I was 2 terminals from my airline & the cab was gone with my fare & a handsome tip.
Free coffee and hot showers
Too noisy, for 4 people no storage for glothes at all; too sticky during the nights
Complimentary coffee, tea and water. Wifi was a plus. Good location if attending concerts at Rockwood Or Mercury Lounge as I did on this trip.
Need better signage to locate especially when walking. I got lost trying to find hotel after venturing out for food and trying to return to the hotel.
