We have already visited a few of B&Bs but we found charming aura of this place and kind-heartedness of hosts incomparable. Good location both for beach and sea activities as well as round trip base. We loved it.
nice view, quiet, fresh fruits for breakfast, awesome people.
Cleanlines should be improved. Old worn furniture should be removed along with tasteless pictures and other useless stuff. Everything looks a bit neglected and untidy. Rooms have ugly colours. I sincerely recommend to tidy up thoroughly and to engage a professional interior designer. That could make the stay REALLY marvelous.
Louise and the other girls where wonderful, helpful and very friendly. After a few day you feel like at home. We had to change the booking at last minute due to a cancelled flight and they adapted to our needs without any extra cost and really trying hard to make us feel at home.
The view from the deck was fabulous, the friendly stuff and her breakfast were awesome, even the cats were hospitality! Being sweet enough, they provided snorkeling equipment and beach towels, thus we didn't have to rent things~ Am already missing the 4 days there :)
Large terrace with a wonderful view, nice persons, great hospitality, beach equipment available, good breakfast with delicious coffee, many advices for trips and leasure
Breakfast could be little bit more (in quantity) - nothing else, we can really recommend this fantastic B&B!
The view/location, welcoming hosts. Tranquility in the house. Breakfast changes every day with fresh fruits.
Road a bit tricky, drive slowly.
Hard to find
Stay with a warm-hearted family sharing their and your stories as well as breakfast under the same roof, everything was perfect except you feel it is just too short for your stay.
The drive way down the hill was a bit risky for new drivers, but you'll be fine at last.
The friendly welcome from Kurt and Kana. The great views from the balcony. The tips on where to go and where to eat from Kurt.
Kurt & Kana were friendly, personable and and very helpful. Lovely to talk to, and the food was wonderful. They were wonderful at starting conversations that included all the guests, even though we were from 3 different continents. Their daughter Jenna is so sweet and also very friendly. We really loved our time there and wished it was longer.
No complaints at all, just wished we booked early enough to get an ocean view and not a garden view.
Excellent location, friendly atmosphere, bonny tropical breakfast with Kona coffee, great ocean view, evening birds singing and nice people there.
Amazing place among the coffee and macadamia trees. Gorgeous sunset views from the balcony. Great location close to the best snorkeling spots of big island. Yummy breakfasts with tropical fruits and Kona coffee. Perfect hosts with a great sense of hospitality, dispensing great advices about the area and Big island in general. Kurt is not only kind and generous, he is also a great storyteller and he knows a lot about the island. thanks a lot!
My sunburns from the beach ;) The place itself is perfect!
The kindness of Kana and the knowledge of Kurt, the property, the location, the breackfast, the music in the living room, the view... Everything in fact!
Very nice place and very kind hosts, felt like at home.
This is a Brilliant B&B, we felt so welcome here, with everything we needed.
Kurt and his family are exceptional hosts and we had a wonderful time. The name really fits the place! And what a delicious breakfast!
The owner and his wife are very nice and they had the healthiest break fast with coffee which was delicious! The room and bathroom were clean and it was in the forest so we heard a lot of sounds of nature which was awesome.
Nothing really. They are located in a forest so it was a little hard to find a place since GPS didn't locate exact place. But it was fun going through lush to get to the place. It was like Indiana jones journey!
Very friendly hosts and nice family atmosphere.
We stayed just overnight on our way between long hiking trips, and the drive to the location is a bit complicated, so make sure you have the directions and get there before dark.
We had a very large bedroom with view deck. Really comfortable bed and sheets. The swing chair on deck was great. Really delicious breakfast and nice host. Close to Captain Cook-convenient location.
We were only there one night before we left the island, and our older kids slept on mats on floor that were not so comfortable for them. We were used to sleeping in rooms with fans, and we missed having a fan going at night.
A room with a view. Out in the green, in the middle of nature. Every morning a short briefing with Kurt about the days plan with helpful tips.
Nothing to complain!
Healthy good breakfast Very nice and helpful host. Fenomenal view. Surroundings.
A bit dificoult access to the hosts house. A bit too small breakfast.
We liked everything. We travel a lot around the world and this was definitely one of the best places we have stayed. The room was spacious and comfortable, the view fabulous, the breakfasts great and our host incredibly helpful and hospitable.
Hosts could not be more helpful to make sure we got the most from both the B&B & the surrounding area. Great suggestions & what to avoid. Breakfast quirky & cool.
A beautifully located B&B, maybe the drive to the B&B was a bit difficult, at least after dark. However, spending the evening with some food, picked up in a nearby store was a great idea suggested by our host. We truly enjoyed sipping a glas of wine while watching the sunset over the bay. The inn keepers are the most gracious hosts we have ever met and we have stayed at many B&B:s. The breakfasts served on the balcony were very tasty. We enjoyed the chance to chat with the other guests and our host at the breakfast table. Our only regret is that we only stayed one night.
great breakfast, very nice hosts with a lot of great ideas what to do - thank you Kana & Kurt! Nice view of the ocean
quite soft bed if you are not used to it; tiny bad conditioned road to get there is a little special (edge of the world is no joke...); not close to a beach for swimming or snorkeling, you have to go by car
