We liked the idea of staying on a boat and the beds were comfortable.
The floating boats really need an update because at the moment I would not stay there again. It is smelly inside and you don't want to stay longer inside than necessary. Less but nice and cleaned furniture would already make it more comfortable. Furthermore the sheets and towels where not very clean.
I can't take a shower.
It was fun. Thanks
Need new matress
boat and setting.
Just a lousy please to spend the night.....dirty and nobody to complain to.
Smell bad מסריח
This place was to put it nice...Nasty, has anyone ever cleaned behind the bathroom door. The mold was so bad you couldn't breath never mind sleep. The wifi never worked and the over all stay was sickening, still taking decongestants to breath. You would get a better nights sleep in your car!
We loved the view. We loved sitting on the deck looking at the stars and watching the sunrise.
It was a little hard to find. Accomodations weren't great. It was small. But we loved the dock, the friendliness of the other guests, and the uniqueness of spending the night on a houseboat.
Plenty of hot water in the shower. The manager moved us promptly when I mentioned the heavy highway noise.
Beds make loud noise if you move on them. Wakes you at night if you roll over. Dirty mini-fridge, sheets not changed, trash left in shower 3 days, rough towels, minimum cleaning effort,no drapes & broken blinds, found remote under couch
Dirty...no house keeping, nothing worked....felt every spring in the bed....cramped!
fish jumping in the cove, harbor lights
no ice available
For the price the shack was incredibly lousy, dirty with broken window shades and dead insects, not cleaned, dirty bed cover. There was supposed to be a kitchen, which was dirty, rusty, the fridge moldy and stinky and definitely not to be opened. We did not want to touch anything in the room. Not a good reference for Booking.com to have places like this available. This kind of place should not be rented at all. Also to note, the firealarm was open with no battery in it. If this was not the last possible place available we would not have stayed there.
It was a unique experience staying on a house boat. I really enjoyed the novelty of it as well as the location is great!
The pillows are the absolute worst and the bed mattress on the double was very uncomfortable, but for our short stay it was manageable.
The view from the balcony! The decor is like stepping right into the 1960's but it was clean and charming.
There aren't any food options within walking distance.
WiFi had no conection exept in the reception. The first room had no shower, but we got an other room.
Location Location LocatioThe help was fine.
Terrible room, not sufficient soap, towels was cloths room smelled musty.
The friendly front desk staff member and easy check in process. I stayed in the cottages.
The bed's mattresses were uneven and too soft. The pillows were also very poor quality as well as the comforters. Everything else was fine. I think having a good nights sleep is essential if you want to have repeat customers.
Fun staying in a houseboat Tranquil setting
Bed coverings were damp/dirty "Free" Wifi....didn't work! Signage was poor, couldn't find the place. Facilities were dated...
The concept Location Owner advices / help / commitment
No upgrades since long time ago. Needs new paint, new beds, new apliances.
Driving away from the hovel
Sharing the bathroom with cockroaches Cleanliness The linen The AC been very very noisey We checked out at 2am it was that bad, booking.com should not have such a place on there website, you've got to have a certain standard of cleanliness wether it's a 1,2,3,4 or 5 star. Please do not put anymore customers through such an awful experience !!!
We were looking for something different than "cookie cutter" hotels, something out of the norm. If you're envisioning a "floating hotel room on water", you'll be disappointed. These houseboats are very small, rustic, a bit outdated. We loved watching the sunset from the deck. Lots of peace and quiet. Boats are well-secured to the dock, so very little wave action. We enjoyed this 'counterculture' experience!
When we arrived the interior was hot and muggy - staff did not turn on the window A/C. Note that the windows are caulked shut, so no natural cross-ventilation. These houseboats could be adorable with a fresh coat of paint and nautical decorating scheme. If you can't be w/o a TV, know that the cable service in this area is unreliable.
Fishing off dock until dark then fishing off boat which was our room
I enjoyed sitting on the front of the boat relaxing.
It could use some updating throughout.
Very friendly owner and a pretty setting on the water.
Boat was 'rustic', read: small, stuffy, v old/basic and unmaintained/in disrepair, which would have fine if there hadnt been half a dozen gigantic and active cockroaches at home in the various cracks and holes in the walls and floor. Airco was also a bit archaic and tempermental/noisy. Boat wasnt cleaned or towels/sheets touched either so should be in a Muuch cheaper price bracket.
