We liked the rooftop swimming pool. At night we went back to the rooftop to take in the view of the city. Location of hotel was ideal- in walking distance to train. Our room was very clean and roomy. Also had continental breakfast. Would stay there again if in Chicago.
Great room with tons of space in a good location. Excellent overall value for room price.
Greeting from the front desk was extremely discourteous. The front desk representative made me feel like I was putting her out to simply check me in.
room location flexibility of staff
view from our room; courteous staff; room was very quiet
And the stay here was great.
location, location, location!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- good location - nice rooms
Value for money They were remodelling the hotel.
staff was very nice
The pull out sofa that our kids were supposed to sleep on was absolutely horrible. The bathroom door fell of the hinges when my 10 yr old daughter came out of the bathroom.
The comforter on the bed
Walk in the door chaotic not enough help. Bellman rude and could not get a cab from this location
My $75 dollar credit.
The rooms were attractive, clean and beautifully updated. The location was perfect for our purposes - we shop both upper Michigan Avenue and the Loop.
The lobby was still under construction but the staff worked hard to make up for it.
Newly renovated so very clean and stylish rooms. Check in was quick and easy. Close to restaurants and shopping. Good for business travelers as well as vacation times. Roof top pool with fabulous view of Lake Michigan.
Small elevators...sometimes slow getting to your floor.
There was a lot of renovation work going on which wasn't mentioned anywhere on the hotel website. We had to wait a long time for lifts in a makeshift lobby.
The location of the property
I was completely deceived! I feel like I wasn't told 1 truth! We were promised room service, a fitness center, light snacks in the evening, water bottles in the room, (when we asked about the water we were told it was only for the gold members). A concierge service was promised, in room spa services were also promised! Absolutely none of these things were available! We were placed on the 38th floor and we timed our wait for an elevator, it was 31 minutes we waited on more than one occasion before we could get one to take us to our room! At no time during my several phone conversations with the property was I informed that the hotel was under construction, had I known I would have stayed elsewhere! There were buckets of nasty water and paint sitting around everywhere, drills, saws, and other dangerous tools laying everywhere. It was horrible! My sister and I had saved all year for our trip to Chicago, and we researched over 30 different properties before choosing yours. I have worked at a hotel in the past, and if we had charged over $500 and our property was in such bad shape our guest's would be given a full refund! I will never recommend your property, and we will be returning to Chicago in september, and will definately not be staying at your property unless this situation is made right. Thank you.. Donna stokes .
I liked the location of this hotel a lot. Right around the corner from lots of shopping. Also the rooms were fairly large and it had a kitchennette.
The staff wasn't too helpful. Bell hop didn't help bring our stuff up and we were told there wasn't one available when we went to check out. Yet when we got down to go get our own bellhop cart 3 employees were standing there staring out the window. Going to get the cart would have been slightly less of a problem had the elevators not taken 5-10 min wait each time up and down. One of the 3 elevators were also out of service. Very noisy due to construction and staff tried to lie, for some reason, on which floors construction was going on at. Kitchen was a great feature had dishes been provided. Then when asking staff about it I was cut off and told they weren't ready for the dishes yet. Here's an idea... For a place that doesn't offer room service or mini bar and boasts a kitchen should deliver on it. Don't rent rooms out that aren't prepared. It's tacky. I will only stay here if they give me free stay to make up for the 1000 I spent the last time.
Our maid was very friendly and kind. The staff was also helpful. The room was very clean.
The elevators were broken down. Was not told about the renovations ahead of time so no lobby. No business center. Door key cards did not work. Wasn't told ahead of time about the valet parking and wasn't comfortable keeping luggage in the car. The pool area was being renovated as well as the fitness room so things were dusty and cramped. Would have appreciated knowing about all the renovations.
The location is great right by all the restaurants and shops. Also had a great night life just a couple blocks away. Staff was polite.
The room did not have a clock, so I requested a wake up call and never got one. I had 2 different maids try to clean my room before 830 when my conference didn't start until 10 and check out was 11. Thought I could sleep in...I was mistaken because of housekeeping and the hotel was under construction. Hope its better after the renovation.
The staff and management were very nice I would recommend this hotel to everyone!!!
nothing it was a very nice stay!
Rude reception staff. Too expensive for what it is. The room was a let done , nothing like shown on booking.com
The best thing about this hotel is location. Hotel itself is just okay, but I would stay here again for the price.
A lot of renovations going on. So, I ranked cleanliness low as it was kind of a mess, especially on 40th floor by pool. Once construction done, should be okay. I thought that the cleaning room staff stingy with things such as towels and toilet paper. We had four people in our room, 2 adults, 2 kids and were giving only 2 towels at a cleaning, despite calling several times. Also, we ran out of toilet paper 2 mornings in a row, and they wouldn't leave us an extra roll. Small things, but frustrating.
Was not told that the hotel is under renovations.
Staff friendly and helpful,
Housekeeping was horrible. Didn't get washcloths, coffee, or tea replaced. Construction made it uncomfortable to go to the pool.
The room was very nice and quiet.
The booking site didn't give notice of the construction underway. I might have chosen a different hotel if I'd known. There wasn't any reduction in price for the construction. The pool area needs a lot of work and, while it was open, was also under construction.
Friendly staff, convenient location, wonderful time.
The cracker crumbs crushed on the carpet outside the elevator (22nd floor) for a prolonged period of time.
