It's location is awesome. The rooms are far from luxurious but they are comfortable and I like that you can choose the temperature of the room on your own.
BIG minus is the shower. If you can finally get it at an okey temperature it barely gives you any water from the shower head.
Location. Cost. Clean.
Nothing bad. Great for cost.
The location wasn't bad.
We checked in and he said my friend could not come up to the room. Not even for a few minutes while we move our stuff in. I looked at the sheets and there was no way I was going to sleep there. It was disgusting. Stains on everything. Bathroom door had been kicked in. This was a the worst hotel. I refused to accept that room and they made me pay one night.
Great location near excellent restaurants. Despite the lack of coffee making the Starbucks was across the street. Portland is expensive for hikes we would rather put money out for great food and just want a clean bed. There IS parking underneath for 11 spaces to grab. The brew joint next to the hotel was fun after fine dining and then just next door. Despite the metro streetcars just out site our room was fine it's the city. Hallway musty but room clean with exception of wiping down doors. It was more than fine for cheap price for one night.
Needs hot water maker for coffee and tea to use microwave.
Positioned right in the midst of the Uni district, plenty to eat drink and easy access to the town
cant really say there was anything that i didnt like.
Didn't have hot coffee in the hotel, this is the minimum.
Parking garage was small and tight.
Staff were friendly. The place is safe.
Close. To. The. Max
To much. Noise. At. 3 in the. Morning
I liked the location and that there was a mini fridge and microwave so I didn't have to eat out all the time. I was able to walk everywhere and that was great. I also liked the curtains as they did a great job if blocking out the light.
There was no cutlery to eat with, bed was uncomfortable, and there was no outlet in the bathroom
I paid for two nights in a coed dorm, but since the beds in that room were all taken, I was kindly moved to a two person bed room. I was supposed to move to a the 8-bed dorm room the next night but for some reason the staff changed their mind when I returned that night and I got to stay in the same room. Heat was adjustable in that room. I don't know what the dorm room is like because of the upgrade.
The front desk personnel woke up the supervisor who was rude and insensitive. I did not realize there was an age limit. I paid my money faithfully but was denied service.
The location, clean space, big room.
The shower has a small pressure. Plates, knife and fork are not included. Windows could be repaired.
I met an Aussie, a Dane, a Saudi, a German, and another Michigander -- All of them awesome!
location, staff friendliness
Right at urban transport lines, very pleasant staff, clean, simple, economical
The location is very good and you can take the max lines to move around the city and downtown.
We had a situation that luckily didn't result in any valuable loss: when we got back to our room at night the door was left open after the cleaning service made our rooms. I made sure to tell the concierge about it. It was a good thing that all our stuff was there.
There's construction site right outside my room and I was not notified while booking.
the people who shared my room.
The strange strong smell, no hangers in the bathroom, noisy and really uncomfortable beds. The padlock is not included, one should buy it beforehand.
The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was old, but very clean. The location is great--walking distance to sights and activities.
Free parking but very small stalls which were somewhat difficult to get into.
Its location was very good. Near the MAX lines and the street car lines
Shower was no good. Really low water pressure and using the adjustment knob it seemed to only have two settings, super hot and freezing cold.
Close to transport Very helpful staff
Cramped room Limited wifi no jug
Privacy, cleanliness, location all great benefits, price was resonable too.
Outdated, could clearly see tv, call at hour before check out seems unreasonable, parking lot is very tight.
None.thank god was only staying for 2 days
Everything! Doesn't even look like a hotel. More like a abandon building with a bed. Should be free for homeless to sleep in. Never took my shoes off, so dirty. Used my T-shirt as pillow case. The room didn't even have a trashcan. Hotel is right on top of a bar/restaurant that opens until 3 in the morning. My room was on top of the kitchen, you can hear everything. Could not sleep until the restaurants finished closing which was 4 in the morning!!! Made my first portland experience horrible. Will not return to portland!!
We stayed in the private double room at first floor. The room was quite large, with kitchen and storage area. The hotel is close to the city center, the university and the river park.
The room looked quite old and worn down. It was a bit dirty and had a funny smell. For its condition it was quite expensive.
