AAE Portland Downtown Value Inn  

The service is excellent, the accommodations comfortable, the price excellent and the location convenient. I have already booked my next stay.

Nothing I don't like about this place.

Very old and out dated hotel, the place had a funny smell to it.

Size of the room.

Two broken windows patched with cellotape. Toilet roll holder half off the wall. Room location meant traffic noise was bad, even with windows shut. No ironing board.

Price, location and access to public transportation, friendly staff

For the price, was really nothing to not like.....

Great price to split between four guys. The rooms aren't like a 5-star hotel's but the beds are comfortable enough and everything seemed clean.

The shower was a little touchy.

Kindof older looking place as well as I couldn't bring my family inside to hang out but guess it's safer that way

Room is need of updating, light bulb missing in lamp, electrical cord to lamp had exposed wiring,,,, electrical hazard, battery missing in smoke detector. Towels are old and need replacing, shower curtain rod needs replacing. Limited selection of television stations. Musty smell in hallways and room. Carpets should be replaced. Owners are not a fit for this type of business for customer service, in for the money...........

there were very easy to take streetcar and visit Downtown!!!

There were not had enough staffs and laundry room not in the same building ,you should borrow the key and prepare so many quarters and then you can use the laundry room!!

I glad to meet Mr Parl who is work in the reception all night. He gave me a lot of informations about downtown. He is a good guy!

I don't like the room service. I ordered 2 days. They did not clear my room. I don't know why!

The room smelled fresh and the window opens to fresh air. The bathtub is a comfortable shape. The internet connection worked well and easily.

The shower curtain smelled bad, though they replaced it. Not a big deal. There wasn't a desk light for the desk. It was a bit dark.

Price and convenience to various appts.

Carpets are a little threadbare and the blinds don't keep out enough light from the street lamps.

Walking distance to places we wanted to go.

Loud, next to bus line, which was right outside our window. Heater was loud. Was supposed to have cable tv but we had horrible reception. Beds were uncomfortable. Water pressure was almost non existent and water temperature was impossible to get set. You had too hot or freezing.

We were allowed an early check-in and valued the use of the free parking.

The tTV reception was not very good and a very limited choice of channels.

Location and price

Dorm rooms are overcrowded and really difficult to deal with if you're trying to look presentable over a period of time.

The Motel refuse to give me one receipt including all the money I paid. The 15% deposit and the remaining 85% are charged by two different comany, which leads to that two transaction informations, other than one receipt, are provided. The separated transaction informations will result in difficulty for me to apply for reimbursement. 旅馆拒绝提供收据。 预定时15%的保证金，和剩余住宿费有两家不同公司收取，导致两家单位拒绝提供统一的收据，只分别提供两份- 银行转账证明。 这种情况在国内是很难报销的。

Good value for money. Simple and clean, entirely adequate for a conference visit.

Although the neighborhood was quiet at night, there were occasional trucks collecting garbage etc in the middle of the night.

close to everything. by the college. Good value for your money. rooms did not have screens on window.

I couldn't stay in the dorm because hidden in the clause is an age restriction for anyone over 30 years of age, so the manager put me in a single bedroom that was much more expensive. It's a beautiful neighborhood and city during the day, but I was only at the hotel to sleep and didn't see it at night. Free Parking, Free wifi, located in downtown, walking distance to everything, clean room.

Someone got shot outside of window!!! At around 5-6 am, I heard someone yell "Get down! Get down!" and then I heard a single pop. It was so close. It may have been a stun gun or pistol. I'm not sure which one. Very narrow parking stalls and you can see the scrapes of where various vehicles didn't make it. My fault for not reading the clause of age restrictions (+30) for the dorm room.

All the negative comments are because when we returned at night the bed hadn't been made which, for 90 dollars a night paid in advance, seems totally unacceptable. I reported this to the receptionist who was very friendly and helpful.

I was in Portland as a volunteer for a reunion for my association. The Value Inn was only 4 blocks from the reunion hotel and was very inexpensive for the week I was in Portland.

For my needs there was nothing I didn't like about the Value Inn.
