Close to transport Very helpful staff
Cramped room Limited wifi no jug
Privacy, cleanliness, location all great benefits, price was resonable too.
Outdated, could clearly see tv, call at hour before check out seems unreasonable, parking lot is very tight.
We stayed in the private double room at first floor. The room was quite large, with kitchen and storage area. The hotel is close to the city center, the university and the river park.
The room looked quite old and worn down. It was a bit dirty and had a funny smell. For its condition it was quite expensive.
Location is great, friendly staff when you get to know them Great budget accomadation
near the uni. kind staff.
Cheap and great location for transit.
It's not a hostel. It's a cheap hotel that took their biggest room, put 5 sets of bunk beds in it and calls it a hostel. The bathroom is a normal hotel room bathroom but has to be shared among 10 people. It's not very clean and it's kind of uncomfortable.
This centrally located motel is basic, no frills accommodation but it was clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, based on several negative reviews we read. Keep in mind many out there expect chocolates-on-the-pillow treatment no matter what the rates. We didn't expect 5-star accommodation when we were paying less than $100/night. The AC worked well in the 90 degree weather and we were a short hop from all the downtown attractions. I'd stay there again any time...
The water pressure was kind of low and the pizza joint (which looked like a fun place, BTW) was a little noisy into the night, but then again, it was the prime of summer when we stayed there...
The location was excellent! Since it's downtown, everything was in walking distance.
The parking lot. The parking lot for the inn itself fits about 7 cars. Their parking lot is of course first come first serve, not to mention that parking in their parking lot is difficult if you have a big car. Difficult, but not impossible, our rental car was a SUV and we always had a hard time parking it because their parking lot is really small and narrow. If you can't get a spot in the inn parking lot, the inn is really close to a public parking lot which will cost you $4/hr before 5pm. After 5pm, it's $4 for the night till 7am.
downtown location close to theater and restaurants.
parking is very tight and difficult to park even for my prius.
The rooms were perfect. Big and spacious, staff was very nice, everything was clean. Did not feel like a motel at all. This is definitely a secret gem in the middle of downtown
Very accommodating. Right next to a yellow line/ green line MAX stop.
Strange electrical outlets... they were controlled by various light switches around the room. The water in the shower had a very narrow temperature zone that was not freezing or boiling.
The staff were very rude. While I was staying they insisted that the showering in my room needed fixing so they basically kicked me out so they could fix it and then left a huge mess that I had to clean up after. I have also NEVER stayed anywhere that was so strict on their check out time. I was a little late getting out by 11 and they called me at least 5 times to tell me I had to leave and knocked on my door TWICE telling me I needed to get out. It was unbelievable and appalling considering I'm not even from the country, it made me feel so uncomfortable. I will never be staying here again.
Good value for the money. Excellent location at the edge of Portland State in downtown Portland.
The shower had a steady leak that the manager was aware of and did not intend to fix. The host required a cash deposit for my key, even though my credit card was on file. The room overheated easily, which is uncommon in Portland. We had to run the air conditioner all night to stay comfortable.
First the good. This hotel is a great price for downtown and beats anything else. The owner is friendly and it is clean with amenities like wifi and a fridge. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Because this is a value hotel, it is not perfect. We were on the street side and it was super noisy. Just ask ahead for the back side and I'm sure it will be fine. The shower does not have good pressure as the bathroom fixtures are old but everything worked. The heater is old school and not so efficient. That being said, I would stay again for one night to save money. The location is very handy to everything.
There are not a lot of amenities, but the room was big enough and clean. Very easy to get every where we needed to get. Great value for the money!
The hallways felt stuffy and smelled like smoke, but that never transferred into our room.
room was kind of comfortable. wi-fi was good.
hotel staff was not kind and friendly.
Rude manager, no free public parking, awful dirty room, bad smell, really noisy and busy street not mentioning the pub downstairs sending bad smells and noises to the romos throughout the night. A place where one should never stay!
Location--walking distance from waterfront park! Best cost for location
Room crowded; bathroom tight and old. Our room second floor and no elevator. Parking on premises only 10 spaces so had to use public parking
This was exactly what I expected. Clean, practical and convenient. I could do my business in city center and family able to experience downtown Portland at it's best.
Parking spots are all very small but has available close parking otherwise.
I stayed here and initially got a double room on the third floor. It was great. Clean and remodeled. The location is great.
I added a nights stay here and had to change rooms and was placed in a single private room (room 29). It was deplorable and had I not nowhere else to turn (I really had to stay an additional night) I would've told them to shove. It was dirty, not secure and literally facing a hallway in the basement. They charged me the same rate?!? Get a room on the 3rd floor or get a backup plan. Staff (Indian in his mid 30's and his parents) were rude and short. The gentleman who checked me in was great. Great start, horrible ending. They will also charge your card for the deposit and then charge you again for the full amount. Be careful with this place.
Facility is run down.
WIFI doesnt work in rooms.
Wi-Fi didn't work;
$28 to park Staff refused invoice Staff argued with me (one sided) I left happy to get away from them
Staff Staff No Parking Said no invoice - get it from booking.com
