location I was placed in a room facing Ellis Street. There was a nightclub outside and the air conditioning unit let in all the noise from the nightclub. It was unfortunate that I was placed in such a noisy room despite there being other quieter rooms available. I literally had 2 hrs sleep on the thurs night. I was informed the room could not be modified due to the building being listed.

The staff was curteous, helpful, and friendly. My room (506) had a pervasive aroma like cat urine or fermented socks. Every day I had to ask the cleaning staff to spray the room with air freshener. I mentioned this to the front desk staff on the first day there and they offered to move me; however, I was completely unpacked, did not plan to spend too much time in the room, and did not want to undergo the inconvenience.

The hotel looks great, room was large and clean, staff is really nice and friendly, and the location is unbelievably good! The Subway restaurant that is is the same building leaves some smell in the whole hotel, but it was not that much of a problem to us.

The best place to have a hotel in Sa Francisco. The best value for money by far as other hotels. Very helpful staff. The room was amazing, with plasma tv and all kind of connectivity options to plug your laptop or apple tv via hdmi, vga etc. the bed was extra large. The pressure in the shower might have had better. If you wanna sleep well and are not used to city noise, better take a room with windows to backyard as opposite the street there is noisy club and in the morning all kind of traffic is goinng on the streets.

As I already mentioned, location ideal to conference site, easily accessible to my son who lives in the area, food sites easily accessible, it was very comfortable and clean, friendly staff. Price was less than group rate at conference site and for my purpose offered all that I need. I would stay there again be it for pleasure or work related. On Saturday night and early mornings street noise was notable.

We were given an upgrade from a queen room to a king suite so right away we were impressed. The room was spacious with 3 separate rooms - bedroom, lounge room and bathroom. It was a bit loud at night - we could hear the person upstairs walking around. Concierge staff were very friendly and helpful - recommended a great restaurant. Restaurant connected - Puccini and Pinetti - was fantastic! Hotel was very close to shops and public transport. There were a few homeless people hanging around the entrance.

Good value for sf; great location, friendly staff, and my courtyard facing room was quiet and comfortable. Only one thing: my room smelled kind of mildew-Y. I kept the window open.

style of hotel & room room came with a desk which was unused; the bathroom was stylish but small; perhaps a future renovation can swap the areas.

The staff were absolutely wonderful. They helped us out from the second we walked in the door to the final arrangements for excellent transport to the airport. They gave us terrific recommendations for places to eat, drink and enjoy ourselves. On top of everything they were vibrant, open and fun. Although it probably can't be changed due to the structure of the hotel and its location, it would have been nice to be able to open a window for some fresh air. Other than that (which is a very minor comment), everything was great.

Overall our experience at Hotel Abri was a great one, particularly the location and the staff and we liked the feel of the smaller,boutique- style hotel. The only downside for us was that we had requested a roll away bed via our booking.com booking but when we arrived at the hotel we were advised that the hotel didn't have roll away beds. This meant we had two adult sized teenagers that needed to share the sofa bed - didn't work - had to set up a makeshift bed using the sofa cushions! Would still recommend hotel to others and we are actually staying there again in October before we catch our flight home to Australia.

We had some problems with the luggages in the airport and the receptionists help us a lot. They were really nice and professional. Thanks!! The hotel is nice, not marvellous, internet for free and valet parking 35$\day (very nice guys) is good...and the position is probably the best to have the chance to visit the city and move around with all the pubblic services. Taxi isn't really expansive in San francisco and probably is the only thing cheap you'll find!! :) very nice journey. To be honest, no. A bit expansive but it's the city. Oh...impossible drink a real espresso walking around.... ;)

The staff were great, one guy at reception booked us baseball tickets and sent a bottle of wine up when they heard that we were on honeymoon. Location was excellent, close to union square and the end of the cable car line. Room was spacious and well designed. There was quite a lot of noise from the street in the middle of the night (sounded like bins being emptied), but thats what you're gonna get with a city centre hotel.

“Staff at reception were helpful and accomodating. Rory, at the bar, provided plenty of useful information about bars and music in the area as well as keeping drinks replenished! Room was cleaned every day and bed was extremely comfortable. Reading information provided about the city yielded plenty of tips about where to eat etc. Many thanks for a very pleasant New Year! ” Michele, Weston-super-mare |
