Older place like must in the area, felt it was expensive.
The biggest down side was the air-conditioning was very loud.
location staff space value for money
Have stayed several times. Friendly, accommodating staff. Excellent location and comfortable, spacious rooms. Definitely has that boutique hotel feel, with some character.
Attentive Desk Staff. Very responsive to my problems with the AC in our room. We needed extra pillows for the suite's fold out bed, again staff responded quickly. Modern and updated hotel, but not too fussy, and self-aware. All staff very helpful and friendly.
Our AC needed adjusting in our room. We noticed a sticky carpet area right in the middle of the parlor in our suite. The sliding doors to the bathroom are glass paneled and so the light was an issue when trying not to disturb my sleeping husband.
This hotel is a hidden jewel. I booked it online for a weekend trip. It is beautifully decorated (contemporary) and was very clean. Surrounded by great restaurants and shopping. I will definitely book again.
Great location Nice rooms
location staff suite sleeps a couple + one other person price
dark rooms chemical smell in rooms
AC in the room was noisy, and difficult to regulate. Room was incredibly small.
In the heart of the shopping precinct, close to Powell Station. Fantastic location! Very friendly helpful staff. Clean comfy room, good size & lovely updated bathroom. The advantage of smaller hotels is it's quick to get in and out of, unlike the high rise hotels with so many lifts, and corridors to go down to find your room. Only tip is on a weekend stay don't stay in a room facing main street, it was a bit noisy from pub across the road. In saying this the staff did tell us that, I insisted I wanted a view. Would stay at the Hotel Abri again.
Fantastic location in SF.
The room always smelt pungent as if there was a sewage pipe leaking outside by the air-conditioner.
Location is outstanding and hotel has a hip vibe. The staff was warm and welcoming. They allowed us to check in early. Our room (403) was spacious, quiet, had a very comfortable bed with extra pillows. (The mini-fridge is hidden in the desk). This hotel is a great value in SF!
The hotel and the room are old. there was unplesent smell in the room.
small room, low speed wifi, price
The decor is lovely. The rooms are clean and spotless, even down to new caulking in the showers and fresh bedding. Great use of space in an otherwise small room.
The pillows and mattress were not very comfortable. Not the worst, but did not make for a restful sleep. Also, the rooms facing the street are extremely loud. Louder than any other Union Square hotel I have stayed at.
The staff was friendly. The room was clean. The water pressure in the shower is really good. The location is great, accessible to major neighborhoods in SF. Free WiFi!
The only downside to the hotel is that it is right across the street from Infusion Lounge and it gets fairly loud during the weekends even with the windows closed.
The best hotel we stayed. The employees were polite and helpfull and the acommodations are clean, spacefull and great. Very modern hotel and in great localization near union square
Rooms and in particular the bathrooms are small.
The location of the hotel is excellent. Just off Market Street near a BART station and lots of restaurants and shopping. The room was very nice and comfortable. Wilmer at the front desk is top notch. Very nice and and ownership should be proud to have him represent the hotel. He upgraded me to a suite for no charge without me even asking, just because one was available for the one night I was staying. I would recommend this hotel for a great place in Union Square.
The only positive was location.
I paid my room rate in cash and was told that my credit card charge would be reversed in 2 days but till today after more than 10 days,it ha snot been reversed. They are rogues.Incompetent front desk, high room rate, thin walls resulting in the conversation in next room and old airconditioning system of 30 years.
Great location, friendly staff and nice and clean.
The room we were in was facing the building next door which was very close, so we had no natural light at all and it was constantly dark.
Nice accommodations, good location, best bathroom I've seen in a hotel!
The bathroom was the best I've seen but the doors have glass panels -- be aware of no privacy if you are traveling with others! You are in downtown San Francisco: the neighborhood was a bit rough at night and it's a bit away from Fisherman's Wharf area.
Great location - 1 block from Powell Str and 2 blocks from Union Square. Bathroom size was good, shower head excellent. Bed comfy and great/soft cotton linens. Room tastefully decorated and mini fridge in room. front desk people were very nice and extremely helpful.
- wi-fi kept kicking me out and I had to continually be logging in with password. - window AC, so the room was always noisy...sleeping to wake up rested was not an option. - used the valet parking for our vehicle (we had driven in from sonoma)...they said to request it 20 minutes before needing it - in our case we were going to the airport - so we did and it took them 45 minutes to bring it to us. We saw they had parked the car one block away too. We encountered unexpected road blocks to get to rte101 so it was a rush to drop off and get to our plane. Beware if you are in a rush.
The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff seemed nice nod outgoing. Hotel situated right around corner from cable car turnaround so that made it easy to get to. Lots of high end shopping near by if you're into that.
The elevator broke and we were stuck in it for about ten minutes. The room was nice but without the din of the AC you would hear the screaming homeless people all night. Not so much the hotel's fault but still we didn't expect to hear street level noise on 5th floor.
Staff at front desk were very helpful...excellent in fact
