Ace Hotel

Nice and clean, friendly staff

Upon arrival, the staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. I throughly enjoyed my stay at the "ACE".

Yes, I was interested in booking a reservation for the Christmas holiday 2009, unfortunately, I was told that I could not request my same room "214" as the room provided during my past weekend stay.

love it. Everything. Location / design / amazing staff / great vibe in the lounge / very comfortable bed / good size room. Will come back. Already talking to friends!

Great staff

very small, poorly designed rooms. 2 of the 5 nights we stayed at the hotel the heat in our room went up to 90 degrees.

Location, quality of fixtures/fittings all excellent. The staff were very efficient and on the whole very pleasant, making for a very enjoyable stay.

Please review the cost of foods/beverages and refreshments available. In a city with endless choice of food and budget I felt what was on offer was limited and overpriced.

the lobby is great in the morning, early afternoon with atmosphere and energy. Breakfast to buy is excellent. The coffee shop next door excellent. Staff is nice and helpful. Young and trendy atmosphere in general.

Too loud and noisy music in the evening in the lobby especially from thursday to sunday. Do not play so noisy and loud music in the evenings. Would be nice with fitness center. Dark inside hotel in general with limited views from rooms.

We loved the location of the hotel. It was so easy to get around to all the sites and just a quick cab ride to and from the airport. The hotel was extremely trendy and the lobby bar was always very busy - great but I happened to be traveling with my daughter.

Not that this was really a bad thing but there was a big musicfest going on in the "basement" for 2 nights so the hotel, lobby, bar/restaurant was full with band members, concert attendees, reporters, etc. and it was a bit loud. I also couldn't believe how small the room was! We stayed in the bunkbed room and there was the bed and a stool to sit on - good thing you don't spend too much time in your room while in NYC!

The location is good. The staff is helpful, loyal and polite. Rooms are clean though small

I loved the energy of the lobby bar area and hooked up with some friends from Alabama that I hadn't seen since the summer...!

The 3:30 fire alarm I could do without...!

Smart but fun decor that felt comfy but classy. Great bar that was buzzing every night. Pretty good advice about where to go for night life. Great showers and loved the novelty contents of the mini bar and rations pack! Will definitely come back - thanks for a great weekend!

The thing I liked most was the staff & design. If you travel alot, you always look for kindness, and less pomp, and for something the visually pleases. Don't get me wrong, there were people who though they were too cool, I.E. the fashion crowd I the lobby bar in the evenings, but this is nyc. The door guys are just great... Totally cool.

I would have to say the size of the rooms, but again, this is nyc. Make sure you hunt for a deal on certain sights to stay here, it makes it easier considering the size? Ok, I just remembered, it's noisey!± So, if you are on business, like I am every month there, it doesn't help. Or please, just make sure you ask for a non west 29th Street facing room. Dust carts at 3 am, and on, and fights in the street? Oh, there's also a draft by the windows, a really bad one, and baby cockroaches, which I killed, and flushed! This sounds like the worst, but it wasn't, but if you want to stay somewhere fun, this is cool. Just remember, nyc has lots of issues, not the hotels..
