The lost and found luggage service is terrible.I forgot very expensive personal items in my room .Went back to the hotel the same afternoon after checking out and they were not able to find put who did the room and couldn't find anything. I kept askinging the security manager for 3 days but they didn't care much beside asking for my email and cell. Overrayed hotel for sure

The room was very nice and clean, the restaurant and the bar serve excellent food! The noises at night from the street. Impossible to sleep at night. I suggest a room that does not have windows on the 29th street as my room had.

Very centrally located, good size quiet room with all the usual amenities, wifi worked flawlessly, hipness factor; Could be more light in rooms, bathroom was cold and lacked heater, insanely noisy lobby (music) in the evening;

Everything! Nothing was too much effort for the staff, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome & relaxed. Staff had plenty of information on the locality & rooms were well designed with quirky little touches according to your budget & kept impeccably clean. Food at bar was priced as per hotel food anywhere else I've been, the difference being it was actually nice! Would recommend highly! The things would be too small & petty to even mention.

We loved the atmosphere in the hotel. It's relaxed, a bit alternative but also hip, and open for all kinds of people. Work, pleasure, young and old. Friendly staff and good services. It's a bit dark in the hotel. And there's a great lobby/cafe with music, but such bad speakers...

Great location. Very comfortable beds. Excellent bathroom. Great bar and food options. Friendly, helpful staff. Room was overlooking internal courtyard and the noise of the airconditionong vents was extremely loud and disturbed our sleep throughout the night.

The best hotel I've ever stayed in - unique style, super-friendly hipster staff, and a record player (with some records) and a guitar in my room. Bed was unbelievably comfortable. Room beautifully laid out, huge writing desk with a big old wooden chair and a nice angle poise lamp - a person could write their novel here The room is so nice, it's hard to leave

Full of character, very comfortable, the N and R trains are just around the corner, the staff is very friendly, best coffee downstairs, and breakfast at the Breslin was good too. Walking distance to 5th ave, shopping on 34th, also Flatiron. N/R trains will take you anywhere from Queens to Coney Island.

Excellent location, great design and friendly staff. Room was small (not as small as in a similarly priced parisian hotel) but with a spacious bathroom and beautifully designed. You can find the essence of ny around the lobby. It is not in the prettiest neighborhood but perfect as a base to move around. There was a distinctive smell of smoke for a couple of night but this is probably the fault of guests despite the hotel policy prohibiting smoking. Nothing else, we really enjoyed our stay there.

Awesome coffee place (stump town) - loved the music - staff was amazing. Band in lobby was insanely loud - my bloody key didn't work and had to go down twice to get it sorted - hated room decor (scratchy blanket, weird lights)

- The staff were friendly and easy going. In particular, one bellman went out of his way to help me during my stay. I appreciate the extra effort. - The restaurant and bar at the hotel were lively and the food was great. - The location was perfect: easy access uptown or downtown, or via metro. - The doorknob was missing in the bathroom so you could only open one side of the door. - The room was on the street-side and there were two 24-hour restaurants open across the street. This made for a few noisy mornings. For future stays, I'll request to be higher up (was on the 2nd floor).

As genuinely cool, as it appears to be. Hipster-trendy vibe that could easily lapse into fashion victim, but in fact walks that fine line perfectly and is just executed really, really well... Pricey for what it is...

The location in Manhattan and the uniqueness of the design and fixtures. Kind of steam-punk, funky. Comfortable bed. Great if you don't want to spend a lot of time in your room. Room was dark -- not much natural light, and would've liked some more workspace.

Staff in hotel were wonderful, remembering names,etc and were quick to accommodate any needs,directions recommendations and such. The lobby is so fun!! The service technician for the tv was superb. The T.V. in the room did not work. One room was so smoky I had to switch. The service in The Breslin was very slow and lackadaisical.

Great "style" everywhere in the hotel Good bar and restaurant Great lobby area and coffee bar Atmosphere, very trendy Very good to have informal business meetings during the day It can be very busy in the lobby in the evening WiFi was not working for 2 days Next time I will book in SoHo or the meat packing district, these are nicer areas (restaurants, bars, etc.)

The hotel was well designed and very cool. The staff were lovely and very willing to help. When we did have a problem it was fixed quickly. The room was excellent and very clean. The hotel was always buzzing and had a great atmosphere. The hotel location was excellent, not far from Time Square, Penn Station round the corner from the Empire State Building and only a couple of blocks from the subway to get to the rest of New York. Unfortunately, the Wifi and the cable TV broke for a couple of days during our holiday which was the fault of the provider not the hotel and they did work hard to get it fixed, and keep guest informed.

Everything! The staff were brilliant, the food was amazing, the room was fantastic with lots of amazing features like a guitar & record player, the room was also comfortable and very clean. I couldn't rate this hotel higher. The price is a little high but most hotels in New York are like this. However, I would pay this all over again as it was so good.
