I really enjoyed that the front desk was open for 24 hours and that the hotel was so close to so many attractions in the city. Everything is literally blocks away and not to mention the view outside the 11th floor window was the effin Empire State building! I mean right there! I also liked that the hotel at a lot going on in the lobby. There were Restaurants, coffee shops, music, awesome wifi and nightly things (different dis and whatnot) at aces clubs. The atmosphere is definitely for the mid 20's to mid 30'S. It was modern, ecclectic tastes in music, hipster type pop culture sorta vibe and everyone was beautiful. I'm def gonna stay again when I come back to the city.
Yes, the front desk was open 24 hours but for what? My wife forgot her toothpaste and doesn't like the flavor of mine so I asked to see if they had a complimentary tube...NOT! Lol. Then we get to the room where the mini fridge is completely stocked with everything you don't want! Top shelf mini's and wine and champagne out the wazoo...I Kindly removed all of the drinks and $14.00, 6 oz redbulls...bring your own drinks and enjoy the pillows.
Location was great, staff really helpful, stylish abode and fitout
Had a small room. Room was poorly thought out, had to jump around tv on one side of bed, couldn't open bathroom door without hitting the bed, aircon WAY too hot and only other way to cool the room for sleeping was to open the bathroom window.
Fantastic atmosphere and very friendly staff. We had a tiny room with bunk beds, but the beds were quite comfortable, and then bathroom was still very big. Enjoyed the NYC feel, and the proximity to Times Square.
The elevators leave a bit to be desired. Also the lobby is smoky, due to the bar/restaurant. It's s little off-putting to non-smokers.
Great for young people.
Crowded lobby. Expensive room rate.
The view of the Empire State Building from our 12th floor room was amazing. The beds were dreamy and vibe of the place was very hip and happening, just loved everything about this ace hotel!
The tiles in the bathroom were very slippery!
Vibe style staff
Bathroom smelled rotten water
Location, Vibe, Breslin
Every thing is so good @Ace hotel! Those drinks and food in the lobby and coffee shop and oyster bar are all brilliant! Even the peach juice in the room made me already miss Ace so much!
Unluckily the Breslin restaurant didn't open that day. Hope next time I can have a brunch there!
Location and service
Medium size room is tiny and noisy.
Staff, very friendly, very competent, proactive Lobby - beautiful, buzzy, cool but welcoming
Bathroom was a bit dingy, plumbing old/rackety and bath didn't drain.
Staff & Décor
Occasional lack of hot water in room, poor bar service and too many “non guests” sat taking up seats playing online games!
I loved the vibe of the hotel. It was modern and edgy with great coffee bar and restaurant. Also the location in midtown was ideal. Would definitely stay there again.
We where upgraded Tia bigger room
For a long stay I would recommend add some shelves and cabinets in the rooms
The food was pretty salty.
Excellent location, very nice staff, interesting design, very clean.
No control over the heater - so it was terribly hot in the room, but other than that, everything was great.
Price for what it was
Decor, location, choice of bars and restaurants within the hotel.
Very noisey. We were on the 3rd floor so would ask for a room higher up, next time.
Everything, this was a trip for myself (fifty something) & my daughter's 21st birthday. The hotel had a great atmosphere with a cool vibe and was perfect for my daughter's taste. Check-in was smooth, & we were upgraded to a medium room. The bed was extremely comfortable. Great stay & location just off 5th Ave, only two blocks from the Empire State Building.
Cool place. Definitely different. Don't go expecting luxury.
Showers were small and a bit uncomfortable.
I had booked online and requested a twin room as I was with my 21 year old daughter. On arrival we were offered a "large bedded" room. Only after some discussion were we given a room with a sofa bed at a surcharge.
Really nice and cosy hotel at a perfect location to see both Soho, Meatpacking and the village, and 5th avenue and central park. Styling is excellent, restaurant and coffeespot are superb!
The concept, exceptional. I had a record player that I was able to use in my room, fantastic and also I had the Empire State View, absolute fantastic.
One Staff, the lady with the pink hair, was really rude, all of the other staff, especially the asian lady with glasses where fabolous. I never had such a great experience with young staff that gave exceptional service.
The staff, the vibe, the location and the price
Really hard to get a seat in the lobby
Excellent staff, location , rooms and entertainment this hotel has it all fantastic
Loved vibe of the hotel and the location was great - short walk to Herald Square, Macy's and Times Square. Staff very friendly and helpful.
