Location, price, cleanliness, amenities
Noisy room -- people talking in hallway on the way to their rooms, water running, some sort of a/c noise outside room. Had to use earplugs. Didn't get wakeup call first morning. Coffee delivery not available until 6:30 and it was 10 minutes late first morning. I had early meetings so was early to bed and early to rise. Seemed to be out of synch with typical hotel clientele.
Great location, very interesting and fun decor and nice staff. Three of us had a suite and there was a lot of room for us and our stuff. Bathroom lighting was especially nice and the coffee thermos in the morning was a treat.
The hotel just feels like rock star cool. All the little extras are a nice touch. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. I enjoyed running in the gym bc it was way too cold to run outside. I would recommend this place to any young couples.
It seemed a little too pricey for a basic room with no city view. If we didnt get a deal beforehand, probably wouldnt have stayed.
The location is great, very close to a CTA stop. We liked the style of the hotel and all the extra things: free coffee in the morning delivered at the room at the time we wanted, the excellent bakery at the entrance of the hotel, the music equipment in the rooms, good internet, the spa.
The corridors of the hotel were very noisy at night. We could hear people coming back late and talking loud in the corridor in the middle of the night. Moreover, the cleaning service started at 8 am every morning in our corridor, not very compatible with sleeping in during vacations... The rooms are very small, but it's downtown Chicago after all.
Great location, cool interior design. They really made an effort to create something unique.
Loud aircon/heating on window.
Loved the location, close to everything. We had a view of the Willis Tower. The morning coffee was great too.
You can here anything going on in the
I like the decor of the hotel. It is very clever. Rooms are comfortable and they have free wi-fi!
The staff was very accommodating an friendly.
The room was nice but lacked a place to store your suitcase such as a luggage rack or shelf. Counter space in the bathroom was very limited.
Almost everything. The location is excellent, the wifi worked very well and the room was great. I loved the decoration it was fun! The bar at the ground floor makes great cocktails!
Comfortable bed, great room.
Lack of light in the room
Location Easy parking option Fun decor Bake shop of the lobby
- front desk staff not very friendly or helpful - nightclub not as hip as it thinks (at least at hip as the guy making people wait to get in thinks) - lack of flexibility for a late check-out -being next to a building construction zone
Design room was ok and the location is ok for this price in Chicago.
After appreciate the design you're remember that you're in a hotel. Staff is a not very friendly and the cleanning of the room is... to fast... Acme has been...
central location and helpful staff
Nice room, cool vibe, great location
Desk staff pulled switcheroo on check-in, told me the queen suite was a "really great room!" though I booked and paid for a king suite. Only after going ballistic did manager get involved and offer free breakfast and drinks compensation. That night it took over an hour and two calls to get sheets for the pull-out couch.
Nice clean, comfortable room. King sized bed was perfect. The feature of docking station for electronics was sweet, The paint colors, the bathrobes, the "night light" in the bathroom mirror were exceptional!
Parking. Big city, little parking.
Hot tub, morning joe, location
Comfy, hip, great location.
Coffee was marginal. Nice to have door service with it in the AM, but no cream and hardly any sugars. Would have just liked that option.
Fun, different decor. Perfect central location. Friendly, accommodating staff. Free Wifi.
Construction (?)noise every night from 12:30am -7am! Free coffee/tea delivery in AM was wrong and/or late,or absent
Hotel is centrally located, close to Michigan Ave. and not a far walk to Millenium Park, Trump Tower, or Oak Street. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. We were next to the elevator and never heard a sound. We were upgraded to a suite, and loved the extra sitting room, view of Ohio St.,and the granite bar area . The decor is fun and funky , with big red lips on the bathroom mirror that glow at night and other interesting touches. It was immaculate, so we didn't even think about bed bugs! The beds were very comfortable.
Parking was a bit inconvenient, even though the self park garage was next door, the exit was around the corner , either on State, or Grand. We did leave our luggage with the porter when we arrived , before check-in, so we could park. We wanted to walk around after check-out on Sunday, so we dids lug our luggage to the self park to keep in the car. We could have left it at the hotel, they offered to keep it, but we wanted to take off after our walk without going back. There isn't much room for clothing to hang or store anywhere. We were 3 friends (women) for a girl's weekend. There were only 6 holes to hang things, and we lived out of our suitcases and had to be pretty organized. We almost had a 4th, and it would have been way too crowded.
The theme is cute. I love smaller hotels. The room was good size, bed was big and comfortable, small table with seating was great plus (some hotels give you only a desk chair!), bathroom was good size. Everything was spotless. Good wifi. Complimentary morning "knock and drop" coffee was perfect. Nice cocktail bar. We live downstate and will stay here again as our "wind-down" overnight stay when we travel from Chicago or on a Chicago weekend.
Occasionally a little noisy from the hall. No view. Nothing serious.
Coffee drop off is awesome, hotel bar is nice, staff helpful and friendly, good design features.
No closet in the room but there were hooks for hanging clothes.
The location of the hotel is brilliant with lots of lovely restaurants and bars near by as well as easy access to the subway station. It was our first time in Chicago and we will definitely be coming back to the Acme for our next trip.
I like to stay again in this hotel because I feel comfortable and besides, it's location is just in downtown, and walking distance to the mall and accessible for everything.
Nothing to say negatively .
The staff was friendly with helping in searching for Chicago's top eateries. Location of the hotel is right in the middle of great tourists attractions and restaurants/bars. It was trendy and comfortable for a good sleep at night
At checkout the clerk charged my friends card twice instead of splitting the costs between our cards evenly. This caused my friends bank account to go into overdraft, as well they did not refund the $50 deposit placed at check-in for room charges if any were incurred. Both my friend and I have called the hotel twice to rectify the issue, but the 1st time the manger requested proof of this matter and when it was emailed to him he never responded. The 2nd time I called to speak to the manager to discuss this issue and was placed on hold for 15 minutes only to be told he could not be located. In the end I had to go to a Western Union and transfer the funds to my friend as no one at the hotel would solve this issue.
